Giacomo (giacomol) The "western" thread made me think... How many of you guys ever read non-English graphic novels?

I have a few in my profile, but only two of them were translated (Burma Chronicles, The Rabbi's Cat), and the bulk of my stuff is still in Italy and off-goodreads. One would think that at least the works by Munoz/Sampayo (who were doing black & white noir "a la Miller" 20 years earlier, and with better stories, check out "Alack Sinner") deserved an English version.

There's a huge amount of high-quality works in Europe and South-America, and the "anglo" market doesn't really get to see it (a few French volumes here and there, mainly). These are all coming from medium-to-small producers, which are slowly disappearing. You would think that they'd desperately need to enlarge their markets -- so why are they not tapping what is possibly the biggest market after Japan?
