Max sat at a table, with a coffee and blueberry muffin. He glanced around as he typed some things on his laptop.
Draven walked in, gracefully making her way up to the counter. She got a banana latte then went and sat down. Her red hair flowed down her back and over her shoulders, ears peaking out of the crimson mass.
Max glanced at her and then looked away. She was beautiful, which suprised him. Not many pretty girls came here. He glanced at her again before sipping his coffee.
He looked away embarressed and finished his coffee. He soon started typing on his laptop. He needed to finish his report soon.
Max finished his paper and then put his laptop away. He checked his phone, he had one text from his twin but ignored him. Minnie could live one day without him.
Draven got up, tossing her latte in the trash. She ran a hand through her hair, sighing. Guess I'll go do my homework.
Max got up and started to leave. He bumped into a person,"Oh sorry!" He realized it was the redheaded beauty he had seen. Max blushed slightly.
Draven schooled her features, keeping from giggling at his blush. "It's okay." She had a slight Romanian accent.
He heard her accent and smiled,"Nice accent. It's very exotic" He was hoping she didn't notice his blush.
"Yes, you do. Haven't you noticed?"he smiled softly. He kept noticing how diffrent she acted than everyone else.
She shook her head. "No.... But then again if you're used to your own voice would you notice you had an accent?" She gave him a breathtaking grin, showing white teeth with dainty yet sharp fangs.
He blinked,"Vampire? And your right. I guess I may sound as if I have an accent" He smiled, but still wondered what she was. Vampire fangs were pointier and sharper though.
"What?" She was confused by the question. It dawned on her. "Oh, no. I'm half-shadow, half-meak." She said. "If you know what that is." She fixed a few strands behind her ear, showing her elven-like ear to him without thinking.
She took note of the eye roll. "I didn't mean to offend," she said, frowning. Her brows furrowed eyes growing darker in color. "I'm sorry."
He smiled,"It's okay. Trust me, I was kidding. You haven't offended me at all" He could tell she was emotionally sensitive.
"You have a beautiful name Draven"He smiled and grabbed her hand. He brought her hand to his lips and kissed it softly.
She looked up at him through her lashes. "Fine. You made me blush." Her eyes were back to that odd silver.
He smiled,"Really? Well you make me blush" He bit his lip feeling nervous. He cleared his throat and looked away.
He frowned, thinking he had upset her. Max cleared his throat,"I'll just...go" He started to leave the Coffee Shop.
He got a text from his sister and sighed. He didnt text back and looked back at her,"Bye....Draven."
Draven sighed. She was upset that he felt he had bothered her. She actually that he was pretty cool.
Biting her lip Draven let her form waver, taking on the Shadow Realm. Quickly she caught up to Max, becoming his shadow.
Shane arrived with Minne, and, once again, held the door open for her.
