Lydia walked into the audition room. Deep breath. The director would love her. With her curly blonde hair and blue eyes, she was perfect for this role. Her voice even fit. They were going to be reading a scene where the character she was auditioning for was talking to the male lead so they went to ask for one of the guys auditioning for the role.

Derek was already signed up to work props. They were doing a musical. He wanted to act in it but his mom forbid him from doing anything theatrical. He was stuck backstage. Yay. He watched the people walk in to audition with his solemn gray eyes, his black hair falling in his eyes.

Jason volunteered to read the scene with her. He got up, and went over to where they were auditioning, already having a script. He had short black hair that was messy, but in the sexiest way. His black hair made his bright blue-green eyes pop out, and he felt there was no guy better for this part than him. Jason smiled slightly at Lydia. He was also wearing dark jeans, and a T-shirt that showed off his toned body.

Aspen walked into the theatre. It was her first day on the set, and even though she didn't have a major part, she was nervous. Ok, she actually didn't have a part at all, she was an understudy...but she liked to think she had a part. But for now, she was kinda just backstage with everyone else. She looked around a little, her medium, red hair falling over her shoulder, as her bangs fell slightly into her gray-green eyes. She smiled a little as she watched everyone.

Lydia smiled at Jason. He was hot. She thought that when she got the role he should be the one to get the male lead. She hoped he thought she looked stunning in her blue knee length sun dress that complimented her bright blue eyes. The director told them to start reading from the script. ((what musical?))

Derek spotted Aspen, a very pretty girl. He walked over to her and smiled, his eyes lighting up as he did so. "What part do you have?"

Jason smiled, and started reading from the script as the director had said. He couldn't help but notice how beautiful Lydia was, and he especially loved her gorgeous blue eyes. He hoped they would be the two to get the lead roles.

Aspen smiled a little when she saw Derek. "Um, I'm just an understudy for one of the main roles.." She told him softly.

Lydia read the script as well. She said everything perfectly, her voice bouncing around on the words just like the main. She got to the part where they were supposed to kiss and looked in his eyes.

Derek gave her a quirky smile. "At least it's a part."

Jason said everything just the way it was meant to be said. Since he read over the script multiple times he didn't screw up once. When they got to the part where they were supposed to kiss, he looked to her, and kissed her softly. A few seconds later the director called scene and he pulled way and smiled slightly at her.

Aspen smiled a little, liking his quirky smile, and shrugged. "Yeah, I guess so."

Lydia grinned at him then turned to the director. She thought the kiss was amazing and definitely wanted to do it again.

"I'm just backstage so I'm a little jealous."

The director dismissed them to have the others audition, even though his mind was pretty much made up. Jason smiled, and walked over to Lydia to introduce himself. "Hey, I'm Jason by the way."

Aspen shrugged "Well backstage is just as Important," she said softly, and smiled softly. "I actually wish I could've been backstage, but my aunt wouldn't allow it."

"Lydia," she said with a sweet smile. "You did great, by the way. I would be surprised if they didn't choose you."

"and my mom wouldn't let me be on stage"

"Pretty name," he commented, "And same goes for you. They'd be stupid not to pick you." he smiled.

Aspen nodded. "Oh.." she said softly. "I'd trade if I could." she said, and chuckled.

Lydia grinned up at him. "Thank you."

he chuckled softly. "I'm not sure they'd go with that."

Jason smiled and chuckled slightly. "Anytime." he told her.

Aspen nodded, and chuckled a little again. "Yeah..probably not..oh well."

Lydia bit her lip and looked up at him. He was REALLY sexy.

Derek smiled softly at her. "I'm sure you're great at acting though."

He smiled at her. "Would you like to go get some lunch?" he asked her hopefully.

Aspen shook her head. "Not really..that's why I didn't actually get a part. The only reason I even get to be an understudy is because my aunt knows the director.." She told him.

"Sure," she grinned. She was mentally doing a happy dance but managed to keep her composure.

"You can't be that bad."

He smiled and held out an arm. "Anywhere special you'd like to go to?"

Aspen looked at him like he was crazy. "Oh, I am." she told him

Lydia took the arm that was offered. "Nowhere in particular."

Derek sighed, knowing he wouldn't be able to change her mind.

He nodded. "Ok, I know a place we could go to then." he grinned, and led her out.

Aspen shrugged a little. "Oh! I'm Aspen by the way."

Lydia followed him. She had turned large smile on her face.

"Pretty name. I'm Derek."

He smiled as he looked to her. "it's not too far from here..do you mind walking?" he asked. "'Cause we can take my car if you prefer." he said.

Aspen smiled. "Thanks, and it's nice to meet you, Derek." she said softly.

"I don't mind walking. In fact I love to walk," she smiled and leaned closer to him.

Derek gave her the quirky smile again.

Jason smiled, "Well thats good then." he said, and smiled a bit more when she leaned closer.

Aspen smiled when she saw his quirky smile again.

Lydia grinned up at him.

She looked forward and with her free hand pushed her hair out of her eyes.

Derek reached out and played with her hair. "You have very pretty hair."

He smiled, and glanced over at her as they walked.

She smiled and chuckled a little when he played with her hair. "Thanks."

"So where's this place?"

"You're welcome."

They turned a corner, and you could see the cafe from there. "It's just right there," he said, pointing to where it was.

Aspen smiled softly. She glanced to the stage when she thought she heard her name, but it wasn't for her so she looked back to him.

"Oh it looks so cute and cozy!"

Derek grinned at her. "What do you say I pick you up here at five tomorrow for a date?"

He smiled and nodded. "It is." he told her, then opened the door for her.

Aspen smiled a little. "Hmm, well I say it's a date." she said softly.

Lydia smiled at him and stepped in. He was the test little coffee shop ever.

Derek grinned and kissed her cheek then walked away, disappearing intovthe shadows.

Jason smiled, and walked in after her and sat down at one of the tables with her.

Aspen smiled a little as she watched him, then watched the people on stage for a little bit.

Lydia smiled softly at him. "So when did you get into acting?"
