Hi Brooke. I have been a fan for many years - I have seen Paul live several times, George live at the Albert Hall, Ringo and Yoko in concert in London. When Paul was recording Pipes of Peace I met him twice outside AIR studios, as I was working in Regent Street, nearby, at the time. I was also lucky enough to be at Strawberry Fields the day Yoko visited with Sean when he was a child.
Hi Susan, I also have been a fan for years. In fact it started when I was in grade school and I first saw them on the Ed Sullivan show. After that I began to collect anything with the Beatles(magazines, T shirts, bubble gum cards, records, etc.), but Susan your having a chance to see George, Paul, Ringo and Yoko live has to be one of the greatest experiences ever. Well Susan I am glad to meet you.
Hi Brooke - nice to meet you too! I remember one day going to work when George's concert at the Albert Hall was announced. I immediately forgot work and headed there to queue for tickets. Later, a guy at the concert told me a similar story - he was due to teach in Copenhagen when he also heard the concert announcement - he left the school and headed for the airport! George was so shy he spent the first ten minutes with his back to the audience, but I was so lucky to see him in concert. Paul is my fave Beatle though - how about you?
You know Susan, I must say that George was my favorite. He always seemed so quite and I loved his crooked smile. I think he was also a very good song writer. I also like Paul alot. On May 17,18 and 19 our Symphony Orchestra will be performing Music of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. I am looking forward to hearing their take on the Beatles music.
Sounds good, Brooke. Well, they are all wonderful anyway - did you enjoy "Living in the Material World"? I meant to post on the Beatles books thread actually, as I noticed that "Johnny Gentle and the Beatles" - which I have a copy of, but which is long out of print - has appeared on kindle. I bought it to re-read out of interest and really enjoyed it. If any fans don't have it, it's a good, affordable alternative.

When I was younger I had always wanted to see the Beatles in Concert, so when I had the chance to see Paul I was on cloud nine.
That is something I will never forget.
Does anyone else have a Beatle story to share. As far as books go I have at least 30 books on the Beatles.
