I'm so excited for this series! Way more excited than i was for Infernal Devices. I have a really strong feeling Cassandra will do something DIFFERENT for once. No love triangles, no human-girl-meets-magical-world. So I've got my fingers crossed! :)

but yeah, dont you guys kinda want more crossover characters that are primary, not secondary characters
i mean im all for magnus, ragnor, camille, woosley,and church and chairman meow (sorry if i missed any)
but since tessa is apparently immortal and shes a main character, it makes sense that eventually somehow she should be in the last 2 books of tmi, and i mean really BE in them, not just this random cameo or rare 2 second unexplicable shot of seeing her, i mean goddess, talk about cliffhanger!
dont get me wrong i love cassie, but how do you have a cameo of tessa in city of glass in the epilogue so its like cliffhanger, but still leave it unexplained for THREE books. no mention in CA which is understandable cuz its the first book in tid, but not even any mention in cp OR CoFA!!! thats harsh.
at first i thought itd be cool if they did an epilogue in cp2 of tessa meeting magnus cuz magnus needed to talk to her about clary, hence the scene in CoG
but now i want more thant that. itd be cool if the final clockwork princess book is that magnus sends tessa to the future to that time to talk to future magnus GASP cuz maybe in the future, they have the potions, specifically magnus does or knows how to get.......wait for it........

like i have ideas and theories just mostly on what we ALL want to happen as readers right?

As a history student and someone who is also interested in names and their meanings (how can I not be when my names mean ‘Pure hope’?), I did a little digging for the Blackthorn family.
1. Arthur: He is the father so his name might be random or his parents were fond of Greek/Latin mythology or history based names as well. The name makes me think of the legendary King Arthur. The meaning of the name Arthur is unknown/unclear.
2. Mark Antony: The oldest child/son. Mark Antony was a Roman politician and general. Mark is from Marcus and is probably derived from the name of the Roman god Mars (the god of war). Antony is from the Roman family name Antonius.
3. Helen: The second oldest. Helen of Troy anyone?
4. Julian: Roman name Iulianus -> Julius Caesar. Simple as that. His nickname is Jules.
5. Tiberius: The older twin. Tiberius was a Roman Emperor, it means ‘of the Tiber’ (a river in Italy). His nickname is Tibs.
6. Olivia: The younger twin. Olivia is a Latinate (oliva -> olive) and this is derived from the Greek ἐλαία. Shakespeare first used this name in Twelfth Night. Her nickname is Livvy.
7. Drusilla: Sister of Caligula, the 3rd Emperor of the Roman Empire. It’s from the Greek drosos (dew) and means fruitful or dewy-eyed. Drusilla was also a vampire in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel. Cassie is a Buffy fan.
8. Octavius: The baby. Adopted by Julius Caesar. 1st Emperor of the Roman Empire. From the Latin word octavus meaning eight. His nickname is Tabby."
