Is anyone else upset that he became the Tree of All Souls? I wanted him to be with Gemma!!!!!

Yes I also wanted him to be with Gemma, had thought that they would have a happy ending. But she did say that maybe maybe there would come a fourth book. Hope that's true!!!!!!

I know Kartik needs to come back. I totally loved him.

That was so well written. It was a beautiful scene.

Hey, there's more to life than getting a particular guy, folks. I think that the way the story ended with Gemma missing Kartik but dusting herself off for the next adventure was strong, sweet, and more true to real life. I think the fact that we are sad he got absorbed into the tree of souls means Bray did her job exactly right.

I loved him and he got "treed". I don't know about a fourth book but i think its stupid to continue the story. It ended bittersweet but i like to see it that way. I don't want to miss the sad feeling.

Kartik and Gemma went through tons together and in the end he turned into a tree! Its just not fair on Gemma!
