I like Inside Out better than the Study series. I had one major problem with Fire Study..... It keeps feinting action!
it's science fiction and not fantasy, so if you are wedded to fantasy, you might not like it as well. It's an interesting world, though, and offers up some surprising revelations.
Very different from the Study series. I liked it, but probably not quite as much as the Study series. as Zora said, it is an interesting world. I found the first book to be a better read than the second. I wanted to read the second one to find out if a few more mysteries were solved, but I found the premise a little less believable.
I would recomend this if you had a mature state of mind, especially with the second book. I loved this series and will probably read it again later. But as I said, if you have a mature state of mind you should read it.
I really liked this book and its sequel. It's full of action and at the same time thought provoking.
I really enjoyed Inside Out, but didn't really have the urge to go on and find out what happend in Outside In.
I enjoyed both books, but not as much as the Study series. If you like sci fi, the books do raise some interesting issues.
I liked Poison Study and Inside Out. They are the strongest books in Snyder's collection. As is the case for many series, it's kind of downhill from there. This is only if you're doing a side-by-side comparison between the first books and the subsequent ones in her series.
No.
I mean, it was okay, but it definitely wasn't all that.
This book didn't grab me. It didn't interest me. If anything, it bored me. Trella was just annoying. It was written so I kinda couldn't picture what was going on without going back and re-reading the descriptions again. It was confusing and I just really, really didn't like it. And that's strange for me, because I read dystopian books all the time. I love them. But this book was just so boring! The only thing I liked about it was Cogan, and he died!

It's very different to the Study series and the glass series, but it's all about what kind of books you like. It's a different kind of plot line, but she writes well. Have a look at the blurb and if the plot line looks interesting to you then give it a go. What's the worse that happens?
I definitely think these books are worth reading! The beginning is a bit slow for a while, but it picks up speed, and near the middle of the book it starts to get really intense. This isn't everyone's type of book, because those who don't like dystopia or sci-fi perhaps will find it to be sub-par. But I, for one, really enjoyed it! I am currently reading Outside In and enjoying it too. I also plan to read her Study and Glass series after hearing about this book. :)
you will really enjoy reading about the gang i know i did, they are one of my favourite series by my all time favourite authors. Have fun
The whole time I was reading it, I thought the next time I turned the page, the resolution would happen. It just had the feel of about to finish but never gets around to doing it. I read the whole book in two hours. Making regular updates on my thoughts on Goodreads
I liked the first one but the second one was slightly too far fetched. I didn't feel there was much character development in Outside In. But now I know she's written other books I'm sure to give them ago seeing as this series wasn't terrible :)
Tbh I loved the Study series and none of her other books have really done it for me :( I thought I had stumbled across an amazing author but maybe she was a one-series wonder
I liked it a lot. I love all of Maria Snyder's works, actually. And even though the sequel of this book freaked me out a bit, it was still a great read. As a matter of fact, whenever I think of Maria Snyder's work, I picture Yelena's dark, dank prison cell, Valek's book and statue-riddled quarters, and Trella' cold, intricate maze of endless pipes and tunnels in Inside Out/Outside In.
Ah, good memories.
These are the only books i've read by Maria Snyder and they were ok. Nice easy read, characters you care about, fast moving story line, definitely worth a read. They're also very short (190 pages or so) so even if you don't like them, they don't take long to read so you can finish them and move on pretty quick :)
i really enjoyed them, totally different from the the study books...and my new fav is touch of magic :)

by Maria Snyder. I loved her study series, but I don't know anything about these 2 books? What are you thoughts on them?
