Spell Bound discussion

I could not put this down, omg im so still crying:(... I wish i wouldve dragged it out longer bc now im going crazy bc i don't know how freaking long ill have to wait for the next one... Aaaaaahhhhh!!! IM DYING!!!

Was anyone else confused about the end? I thought all the daemons were supposed to turn back into normal magical creatures again at the end... They never answered that but I think they all just died...

I finished this in a day, because I couldn't put it down for a minute. This was a great book but was this the final hex hall book or will there be more? After all the eye is after Archer still. I wish they wouldn't have killed Cal though, I was sad when that happened. Plus the whole Torrin/Izzy relationship, I want to know more about that. All in all this book was fantastic like all the rest in the Hex Hall series. I Love Sophie and her witty remarks.

@Danie, IKR!!! I sooo loved it but it did leave soo many loose ends, an Cal, omg i cried so hard, but @Audrey I think I read somewhere this is the last one. I hope she changes her mind though bc she can't just leave it like this:(

I agree she can't leave it like that! I cried pretty bad too, I love archer, but there was just something about Cal. It seems like a lot popular books have a love triangle in them. I thought it was going to lead into a 4th book with cal still alive. just like Life eternal the dead beautiful series. If you haven't read that I reccomend you do. You'll fall in love with Dante and Rena :)

Wings by aprilyn pike is a fantastic series as well. Pretty little liars is a great one as well, godess test as well.

I'll probably check them out eventually, i have a long list of books to read on my kindle, Have you read the vampire diaries, great series!

OH YEAH, I LOVE THEM.. I started reading them bf the series came out. I LOVE the show but i love the books n a diff way. But omg they have Stefans diaries n they start his story from bf he bcame a vampire, i haven't got thru them yet but they're good, a little slow starting but good :)

I haven't read the stefan diaries i was never a huge Stephan fan, But i like him a little more now, seriously though if i was Elena I would definitely choose Damon:) Yeah the show is not the same as the books. For one I don't like the bonnie in the tv series, I like the bonnie who was sweet and innocent in the books, the red head who Damon loves in a way. Plus sage is a buff italian vampire in the book not a woman. I can't wait till the next Vampire diaries book comes out :) Another good series is the goddess test by aimee carter you will fall in love with Henry (Hades really) if your into the whole greek mythology romance thing :)

i had a problem with this book. I just couldn't understand how Sophie's mom went from being utter overprotective to being ok enough to send her to hell without even knowing what was out there. I think that was ruthless and cruel. Archer was clearly the only one thinking straight in this book

I'm sorry but how..HOW could you like this book? I loved the other two but I hated this one, it was totally rushed and the battle with the Castnoff sisters could have been more cool instead of Sophie just pushing her into a hole in the ground. Plus the scene where she gets out of Hex Hall could have been wrote better. I mean one minute she's being mind controled the next she remembers being friends with Jenna and instantly snaps out of it. Come on. That's just sad..and I don't usually write negative things about books. Oh and don't even get me started on the scene in the underworld... Rachel Hakwins could have made Spell bound more dramatic and she did a good job with the first two books and buidling the plot and the huge suspense at the end of Demon Glass. But Spell Bound was just disapointing and it made me think after reading it "really? THAT'S how it ends?!?"

I guess I mean that's your oppinion, I thought it was a great ending though I would have liked to find out more about the Torrin/Izzy relationship. But it just depends on your view, I can understand where you wouldn't care for it.

I have the feeling there will be a spin-off series involving Torin and Izzy. Otherwise what would be the point of hinting of something going on between them?
The final book was what I expected it to be, all wrapped up nicely with a big pink bow. But the writing was the worst of the three because it dragged in the beginning, the biggest events such as the trip to the underworld and the big battle at the end were rushed and they could have been developed better. Also Sophie's witty personality didn't feel as natural as before. It was like she was trying too hard.
But for its intended target market, I think the plot was spot on. I wouldn't expect anything less than a picture perfect ending in a series published by Disney.
P.S.: Someone here asked about what happened to the demon kids and I don't know if it was answered already, but they didn't die, they turned back to normal. Did you miss the part where Sophie was having breakfast with everyone including a restored Nick and Daisy in the end?

This was the worst one for me. :/ The ending was far too rushed for me to be happy with it, and it was all just a set up for the spin off series.

Loved spell bound! The ending was so sad though because that one healer dude died (sorry, I forgot his name) But still, fantastic. Loved it!

Well, thats how u feel about it, but i loved it!! If u rly get into the book u'd b able to feel it, i guess, lol.. sophie immediately snapping out of the mind control is just proving how strong she is... Like i said bf they did leave sum loose ends but i thnk she's writing another like trilogy to tie them up. Also i just rly hate tht she killed cal:(. N yeah the whole castnoff battle could've been more but it wasn't awful either i thnk they did good with how it is

I love ANY kind of love story as long as it's something i cab get lost in, lol.... And me n my friends were JUST talking about how they changed Bonnie from a shy red head to a bad ass black grl, its soo weird and sage my mouth dropped whn i seen it was a chic, really?? And i didn't knw another vampire diaries ws coming out, do u knw whn?? N is it weird that i didn't want klaus to die, hahaha, i love him

Yeah he's hot in the tv show, I Can't stand him in the books though:) Yes it will come out sometime next fall. I just finished reading 8 pretty little liars books, I couldn't believe that Ali was the not Ali but Courtney, but ali killed courtney for revenge! I think she's still alive and the liars are going to get their revenge. Stunning comes out in 2 weeks same day as the saeason 3 premiere:) Have you read the pretty little secrets? I'm reading it right now. Oh and Ezra turned out to be a jerk in the books, he told aria to grow up when it's him who needed to grow up. Noel is so much sweeter in the books. I hope he has nothing to do with A in the books or tv show. Oh and I had read something about Jason being a bad guy, but he might not be, he might be innosent with anger issues:) If aria leaves Ezra for Jason it wouldn't be too bad:)

I love this series so much! But this one is the best. There are so many secrets reveled, that were totally unpredictable!

I loved this book so much. Overall, I was happy with how it ended, but it's depressing that it's the last one in the series :(

yea but something about archer is hidding something. Not sure what but i have a feeling no one is going to like him in the next book

I thought that was the last book in the hex hall series, where did you hear that their making another. I read it when it first came out, so it's been a while, what about archer is suspicious again?

Oops sorry, I thought you meant you had finished reading them:) Well the new title is called Stunning, and the last book comes out next this December and it's called Burned. Pretty Little Secrets is good. Instead of doing what the books usually do, which is switch characters, not doing one whole character at a time. This one tells one characters story one by one the whole thing. It's really good. Vampire Diaries is renewed for season 4 yes! Have you read the lying game though? I'm going to start the first book today, I love the show, but it still doesn't beat pretty Little Liars:)

well when they went into the underworld or hell (not which they called it) they were going thru different phases right and they heard sophie scream in one of the rooms and it said cal was the only one that saw what was in there and he kept looking at archer as they left...me and freinds think archer is going to do something in next book and your other questions answer is i heard it online

Jacoma: The Lying Game is also a great read, It took me a little while to get into it, but i really like it, and I'm almost done with the firs book. Did you watch Pretty Little Liars last night? Crazy stuff

I loved this book but the ending was so sad, i mean there wasnt really a love triangle coz we all knew that she loved archer and that she loved cal as a friend but i seriously wish Cal hadnt died. But anyway it was a good book, not all authors can pull of a good ending, and Rachel did that, she didnt answer all the questions but thats a good thing, we can think about what happened afterwards, if she answered everything the ending would have been kinda sad because there wasnt much left for our imagination.

I liked this series but I still think that the first was the best book.

Really i loved the frist one but my favorite had to be the 2nd one

its a spin off, so it doesnt concentrate on sophie but on one of the other characters (from what i understand)
