The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. Happy reading!

One of my favorite books! I just read it for the second time this past fall before going to see the movie. The movie was good, but nothing compares to reading the book for the first time. Loved it!

That was a great book. I read it a couple of years ago. It probably warrants another read, but I think I sold it back used.

Oh, I shall be involved! I've been wanting to read it for a long time. =]

I wanted it for Christmas... But my Mom just told me that amazon emailed her that our books would be late and won't arrive before Dec. 30.. So I won't get any Christmas presents on Christmas : (

My dental hygienist just recommended this yesterday, so good timing for me!

What a coincidence, I just came to visit my parents for holidays and I grabbed The Secret Life of Bees with me to read. I've been wanting to read it for so long!

I got it for Christmas and it will be my next read : )

actually I've read that book but I somehow I forget the detail :D

Wow Angie, seems like The secret life of bees is pretty popular in your area..

It's probably possible it's so popular because the film version was out fairly recently... Good luck - and try used bookstores, there used to be TONS of copies at every one I visited in every city for very little. Worth a shot!

Dear moderators: I think Secret Life of Bees should be on our currently reading shelf, and Little Women should be on the read shelf. I am unable to change them, but I did try. I'm not sure how big of a deal it is, but it's nice if our shelves are UTD.

Since it is now January, shouldn't we be starting the Secret Life of Bees discussion? I don't want to over step my bounds by doing it myself.

I'll start a thread==that is at least something I can do. Sounds like the moderaters are pretty swamped!
