Worst ending ever? (partial spoilers)

Okay, so I'm assuming we who have read this book can assume what happened to the bullies in the end. But, was anyone else completely angered by the ending? Even though everyone found out what the boys did to Ronnie, I was not satisfied. There was no action carried out, and we never know what really happened to them. They were shunned yes, Kurt did his back flip, it was a happy ending. But there was no justice carried out. UGH. I didn't want the book to end because I wanted to see those monsters get a taste of their own medicine and really truly regret what they did. Instead I feel that they did not receive the punishment that they should endure for the rest of their lives.

I thought the author did a good job of ending it. We can assume justice was carried out, since the whole town found out what happened, and the bullies were basically mobbed and run off the field. With the tape and everyone in town knowing, including the gymnastics coach, I think it's safe to say they were forced to face up to what they did and were punished. We already know they were off the team at the end, and the coaches were kicked off the field/replaced by the wrestling coach, so we know they lost their jobs. I can see why you'd want maybe an epilogue that said they went to jail, but for a book so harsh and realistic, I was surprised that we got such a happy ending as we did. I couldn't ask for anything more.
