Is Melody annoying?

Did anyone think Melody was a bit annoying?

I do think her character is interesting, but she really sucks as an investigative reporter. She's overimaginative, ditsy, unfocused, easily distracted, a bit confused and also a bit unreliable.

And she took so long to figure out the existence of Lycans! Oh wait she still didn't figure it out! Ryne explained it. I know it's not something someone would normally jump to, but she didn't even entertain the idea after the numerous clues Nicky Charles allows her to see.

What do you think?

I thought it was a GREAT book and I wouldn't change a thing. All 3 books were AMAZING

I would not want to be friends with her, nor Ryne for that matter, but I enjoyed the book and thog they were fun characters to read about.

Prone to Crushes on Boys in Books The Mating was my favorite of the four books. I liked Ryne but Melody was questionable.

This is my favorite book in the series. Bonded is probably the strongest as far as the writing goes, but The Keeping is my favorite. I find it amusing that people talk about how they didn't like the book while they gripe about the actions of the characters. That is how the character is SUPPOSED to make you feel. You aren't supposed to find them perfect in every way. If that's what you are looking for, you are reading the wrong kind of book.

I love that the characters make me feel so much emotion! I've mer so may people just like Ryne and Mel. Yeah, she is annoying, but that's just her nature. She's got a wild imagination. It made me laugh at times, and at others I wanted to slap the pee out of her. I've read this one more times than I can count now. It's probably one of my favorite books of any kind overall. Every book in this series runs me through the full range of emotions. I laugh, cry, yell, bite my nails.... Nicky Charles just gets better with every novel.
