hey Kayla! can i send one from my personal loved numbers??? i mean the things i enjoyed a lot and m sure the club readers wd also love reading them:)waiting for the signal;)
thnxxxxx sweet heart;) well the first is "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich" by Alexander Solzhenitsyn(its a book based on some Historical facts but the ones with no interest in history would love it as much as the ones with keen interest in History;take my word for it:). the second is "The Railway Children" by Nesbith (a true n lovely read about Innocence n Purity of Childhood; you wd love it for every reason;)
(ps: my list is long n never ending bt i thought i must give a break n ask u whether u wd like to have more???)
hey thnx again thats a great offer:):)well my next love is "A Tale Of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens and the next is "Sherlock Holmes' Adventures" by Arthur Canon Doyle and the next is "Agony and Ecstacy" (i forgot the writer bt its a biography of MichalAngelo, extremely well writ)
got to go:( bt 'll be back soon:)
oh i came back in a hurry to tell u about my extra favourite love which i haven't read yet but i wd definitely love to as soon as u add it in the club reads! its "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquiz (well i m a bit confused about the author name hope u wd telly:)
Wow, are any of those young adult books? I know I wouldn't let my young adults, if I had any, read Wicked until they were at least over the age of consent. It's got a lot of sexual content that I don't think school librarians would be comfortable with. What about Red Thunder? It's book one in a series of three, and I've been looking for an excuse to read it for a while. I read Rolling Thunder, and really, really enjoyed it, so I'm sure the first two books in the series would be just as good.
Speaking of science fiction, has the group tackled any of Robert Heinlein's young adult works? If not, I'd be up for rereading any one of those.
Also, what about Zoe's Tale? It's part of a series, but it stands alone quite well.
Another one I've been meaning to reread for a while is Rite of Passage, but that might have too much political content for the groups liking.
Okay, I'll stop spewing out titles, and let others step up. These nominations should make my taste in young adult fiction pretty obvious. :-)
Feather, Enchanted Ivy and Princess of the Midnight Ball are all young adult. No, Wicked isn't young adult, it was just something I threw out as a suggestion..
