I liked the movie too. I did notice the differences but I think all in all they did a really good job bringing it to life.

There were just so many little mistakes; it added up pretty wuickly. adn then there were the fairly big ones too.
The overall point came across well, but I didn't love The Hunger Games because of the overall point. I loved it because of those tiny details that amde it fantastical. that's what I love about books. The original idea and how it's put together.
The movie justw asn't put together like it should have been.
It didn't feel real enough. It wasn't authentic. :(

Yes you did. I think they should've showed more of the part where they're in the cave. Make it more romantic like the book described it as.

Yes we can agree on that; but the movie was still awesome :)
Eh.
Book was SO SO SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOOSOSOSOOSOSOSOSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSOSOSOSOOSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSOSOSOSOSOOSOSOSOOSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better.

Really.
Really.
Okay, I am still trying to decide which I like better, the book or the movie. But I am totally team Gale, and I loved the way that the movie made Gale seem real, not just another person Katniss leaves at home. Forget the Peeta scene - I almost cried when it showed Gale at home watching them together. :'(
TEAM GALE!!!
*don't beat me up*
:)

Well if I had to pick one of the two of them I'd pick the character that didn't annoy me. So I guess I'd pick Peeta, gale just annoyed me, don't know why though. And no we won't beat you up. (or at least I won't)

BOO!! TEAM PEETA!
BOO!! TEAM PEETA!
LIAM HEMSWORTH or JOSH HUTCHERSON.
Umm . . .
Sorry, but I going to have to go with #1. After all, we are talking about LIAM HEMSWORTH here.
Who plays Gale.
:D

Sorry, not me :)
Okay, let me rephrase that. I like him in Bridge to Terabithia, which has been my favorite movie forever. And Little Manhattan is a good sweet/corny movie. And Journey to the Center of the Earth is good, too.
Basically, I like him in everything BUT The Hunger Games . . . because of the competition.
GALE FOREVER!!
:)

Am I the only one who walked out of that theater and was like, "What the hell did I just watch?" Am I, like, the only one who had high expectations for this movie and then was completely crushed? This movie was probably one of the biggest disappointments in movie history. And I'm not exaggerating. I literally wanted to bawl when I got out of the theater because of how sad and disappointed I was. No way this is happening...
They set me up for disappointment right from the very start. (I read the book, and I'm probably going to compare them A LOT.) Starting with Gale. I'm a Team Peeta (as you can see from my profile pic XD), but I know Gale's personality. And he was just too nice. Gale's nice, but what happened to his anger at the Capitol and how Katniss and him would go off in the woods and he would just insult them out loud about everything? What happened to that Gale? The Gale in this movie made him desirable and prety dang amazing. THAT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN.
Cato? He's supposed to be this broad-shouldered guy! And the Cato in this movie was totally too cute to be Cato, right? Who honestly pictured Cato as cute? He had a nice body (really, really nice body...), but it didn't fit the character. It didn't make sense.
And Haymitch? Close your ears, I'm about to scream my freaking head off!!! I pictured Haymitch as this 40-year old man who was much more matured than he was and drunk. But no, I get to see him act like a total surfer-dude! The blond shaggy hair, the tanned skin....NO! Haymitch isn't supposed to be a surfer-dude! Lord, help me.
And Rue. I freaking brought tissues because I knew I would lose it when she died. And WTH? As they meet in the woods right after the tracker jacker scene, Katniss just woke up and Rue just starts eating with her? They don't even make it offical that they are alliances! GAH!! Why can't directors direct right??? And her death? NO NO NO! Why couldn't they even do THAT right??? Katniss isn't supposed to cut her out of the net, she's supposed to find Rue and then see Marvel throw a spear at her! AND THE ARROW IS SUPPOSED TO GO IN MARVEl'S NECK. GOD HAVE MERCY.
Am I too picky? Those details made the book AMAZING. I don't think I'm crazy; I had as high expectations as I did for this movie that I did for the book. And look where that got me...!
Mutattions? You have such great dang technology and you can't even make a decent wolf mutation? JEEZ. theyw ere suppsoed to have hair, not bve hairless. They were supposed to be HUGE, not as tall as Peeta and Katniss. They didn't even mention how the Gamemakers mutated the dead tributes into the wolves! That was supposed to be amazing. This whole movie was supposed to be amazing. I HATE MOVIE DIRECTORS.
Why did they only crown Katniss? STUPID STUPID STUPID.
Was it just me, or was there a lot of things about the Gamemakers? Wow. -.-
President Snow is too nice to Katniss. And he's not suppsoed to look all grandfatherly, he's supposed to be plump, pale, clean-shaven, slicked-back black hair and red plump lips. What happened to these characters. *pulls chunk of hair out* I. HATE. LIFE.
THE CAVE SCENE. RUSHED MUCH?? YES YES. WTH? What happened to the rain? The whole healing-of-Peeta's-leg scenes were totally cut out! The romance kind of bored me. Collins did it WAY better. *more hair-pulling*
And the end? President Snow looking curiously into the distance? ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? YOU CAN'T DO THAT. That's so freaking retarded. You can;t end it like that! GOD.
I hated it. It made me sooo angry and soo disappointed. I feel like a total idiot. To think that I stood in line for SIX HOURS at the midnight premiere for that?
