Personality: Clover is in all terms....stubborn....stubborn and not really afraid of anything at first glance. She charges into action and doesn't really care what others think of her, doesn't care if others only see a lady. Clover does what needs to be done.
History: When Clover was growing up she was the little girl always running right through her father's legs-- watching everything he did with awe. The life of a lady had really never been what Clover wanted; when Clover turned 16 her father died at a vampire and that's when the battle for the institute begun. The Consul wanted Clover to marry a man so they arranged one with a young man but of course Clover put up a fit and finally won the battle-- getting the institute for herself.
Weapon of Choice: Daggers and Archery are her strengths.

Personality: Anna is a bit of a distant person. She keeps everything strictly buisness and prefers not to become attatched to anyone or anything. She's got a quick temper and will lash out. She often resorts to sarcasm and hates to be critisized or looked down upon for her age. She likes to be respected.
History: Anna was raised to two shallow parents. Both of them were Shadowhunters, or so she thought. It turns out she's only half shadowhunter, the other half is fey. Her mother had an affair with a fey man and ende up having  Anna. She's only been to Idris once, and it was for the death of her father when she was 13. After that he mother stopped false pretenses and ran off, abandoning the institute. Anna was an only child and desperately wanted siblings. She was sixteen when she fell in love with a werewolf. They had a secret affair and in the end she ended up pregnant with Nicholas' child. When she told him, he offerred to run away together and they did. It was after this that he became abusive and ended up beating her so hard she miscarried. After that she came back to the institute. She's never been close to another person again and she has a personal vendetta against werewolves.
Weapon of Choice: Special throwing knives coateed with a poison. When she deals with werewolves though she uses a silver chain that she uses like a lasso. She likes to cause them pain before she kills them.

Personality: Drake is distant. He's rough and aggresive and isnt really one for people. He's flirtatious and he's a bit of a jerk but he is great when it comes to reading people. He can be sensitive when need be and is very protective. When something bad happens the first person he blames will most likely be himself and he gets attatched to people very rarely.
History:  Drake was raised in Idris with his older brother and younger sister. When his sister got her first marks she died violently, having not had enough training and he started to close himself off. HE wasn't nearly as bad as the rest of his family though and his parents and brother allied with hateful downworlders. They brought a siege upon the Madrid Institute and attempted to kill the Consul. They were stopped though and his parents were killed and his brother vanished mysteriously. After that Drake has been sent from Institute to Institute, no one trusting him due to his family's past actions. The London Institute is where he has stayed the longest and it's only been six months.

History: Jeremy grew up at the institute-- before Annalise was head he heard the constant nag of how he had to get better at fighting but Jeremy's true passion was healing. Jeremy is a very skilled doctor.

Personality: She is very caring, helpful, a bit odd (Mental issues), if you get her to talk. She never talks and just does sign language instead. Candy doesn't like to betoo close to people and runs away when people stand too close. No one knows, due to the lack of technology, that she has extreme nervousness. Her hands, legs, arms, nose, and occasionaly eyes twitch. That's why she doesn't let people get too close, or the twitching will start.

History: Her mother and father worked in the London institute. She was raised to be strong and smart. Then, demons attacked their house and slaughtered everyone. Candy was hidden by her parents so she was never found. She ran and was found by other shadowhunters. They took her in and trained her. She's been living with them since she was 8 years old.

History: His parents were both shadowhunters but his mother died due to complications during childbirth. Stephen was raised by his father, who usually let him do what he wants. His father never got over his wife's death and neglected Stephen. Stephen now lives in the institute after leaving his father.

History: Abigail's father was a shadowhunter and her mother was a retired one, quitting when she had her first child. A few years after Abigail was born her father was killed during an ambush againest some demons. Her mother was so sad and depressed she secluded herself away, forcing her children to raise themselves. Abigail's brother raised her and taught her some shadowing hunting until she went to the institute

Evelyn has always been tall (5'11"), but luckily she is slender. Though, even being slender doesn't excuse her awkwardness as she can be rather clumsy. Though...she had been getting better at that. When she is standing still or sitting down, she looks like a girl who is elegant and graceful, but the second she starts walking, she starts falling all over the place. No one really understands how that works out...

She has bright blue eyes that are often the first thing people notice about her; though they can seem to darken when she's in a bad mood. In a way, her eyes almost turn into a stormy blue/gray color when she either gets mad or sad about something. Then there is her dark brown hair, which is naturally straight, but if you look closely, it curls slightly when she becomes angry, but becomes limp when she's sad. It's an oddity, but no one seems to ever look close enough.

Personality: Evelyn is a sweet, happy-go-lucky kind of girl. She loves to have fun and be outside most of the time, which is why she pursued a career in photography. She loves to be out in the open with the sun in her face and the sweet smell of nature around her.

She is the girl who likes to run around in a park during the spring, actually runs out to dance in the rain, and sing- though, this only makes her seem even more odd, but she hardly cares since her philosophy is to enjoy the simple joys in life even if there are people who are watching.

History: Evelyn had a rather nice life. Both her parents loved her and raised her be a shadowhunter much like themselves. However, neither could understand how their daughter could be so clumsy, but they loved her anyways. And so, they raised her, training her whenever they could until the night they had been slaughtered by a coven of vampires. Evelyn only had been thirteen when it had happened, but luckily she had an aunt who took her in and remembered to teach her that there were still good things in life before sending her off to the institute to complete her training.

Hair a deep brown, almost black, falls to the top of his shoulders in thick natural waves that are pushed neatly out of his face and over his ears. Now and again a shadow of stubble will cover his chin after a long day, but these are not frequent. Eye a deep chocolate brown peep from between narrow lids, framed by thin lashes and slightly arched eyebrows that are somewhat masculine anyway. More often than not they glimmer with suppressed grief, but sometimes a smile will break free.

A strong face matches finely with a strong build complete with the strong jaw, broad shoulders, and firm build of a full-grown man fresh out of youth. James is quite tall- almost six feet, and muscular from his years of working out.

Personality: Upbringing in a well-to-do home has left James with a chivalrous attitude and good education, leaving him courteous and logical in interaction. Clever too and incredibly logical, definitely not one to venture into something without thinking.

The loss of Johanna and his mother, however, has broken him. He’s not the friendly boy he once was- more suppressed, held back so that he won’t let his emotions get in the way. They’re too dangerous. Always too dangerous.

History: Dominic was rasied by mundanes, his parents having given him up for adoption into a mundane center. He didn't realize he was a shadowhunter until he was 10 and was found by an older shadowhunter. The previous head of the Madrid Institute. It was that night that he found out his true heritage and destiny that he was cursed. Coming across a demon and a rogue warlock the demon cursed Dominic into always having to tell the truth. Since that day Dominic could never lie, not even if it would spare someone of pain.

Personality:
Eirlys loves the idea of adventures, traveling the world and completing near impossible tasks. However she knows that's never going to be possible for her, she's more of a bookworm then a fighter, after all, she faints at the mere sight of blood and the idea of bleeding makes her woozy. Eirlys loves to see knew things and meet new people, and can even imagine trying to settle down. The idea seems ridiculous for her. For the most part she's sent on missions to try and make peace between institutes or help them out with trouble that involves words or politics since fighting doesn't really work out for her. Eirlys has got a bit of a temper, and hates it when things don't go the way she wants to. Also, she's not a big fan of guys since they're constantly underestimating her.

History:
Eirlys was born and, for a while, raised in London. Her parents were a pretty average couple as far as Shadow Hunters go, and didn't have too much influence. When she was eight her parents were unfortunately killed by rogue fey and everything really changed for her. For a few years Eirlys rarely left her room, burying herself in books. She barely ever talked and cried herself to sleep most nights. After all, she had never been much of a fighter both physically and emotionally. When Eirlys was eleven she realized that she had to move on and started to venture out more often. However she still stuck to books, and pretty much refused to pick up a weapon for many years. Once she did it was only in secret did she train. Eirlys was thirteen by the time she was fully over the death of her parents, or at least that's what she told herself. There's still a part of her that constantly mourns and wonders if they had been alive whether or not she'd be more like others. About that time she realized where her true strengths lay, and decided that she'd like to help the Shadow Hunters fight different enemies than Downworlders, or at least help in a different way. She trained to become a sort of diplomat, dealing with governments and anyone else who got in the way of Shadow Hunter affairs, as well as settling disputes between Shadow Hunters themselves. When she was eighteen she was allowed to try out this line of work and over the years she's become a highly respected Shadow Hunter.

It looks like one of the quills in the picture, but if you unscrew the top there's a small, but extremely sharp, blade. They're sort of like strange daggers of sorts and she had about five of them. No one knows she has any type of weapon though. She's not brilliant at using them, but she's good enough to fight off most Downworlders. (The blades are silver and the other part is wooden so it's useful against both vampires and werewolves)

Personality: Alyssa is sassy. She gets her way and she knows it, kind of like a human with compulsion. And while she is a good friend, always comforting her friends who pour out their heart to her, she never does the same to them. She likes keeping her secrets and fighting them herself. She is very good at hiding her emotions, seeing tears as a sign of weakness. She loves combat but also loves reading and shopping. She has a great way of giving whatever she is doing her 110%.

History: I know there are many my age who are ashamed of or embarrassed by their parents. Usually, its just something annoying, like them babying us to much or being too restrictive and nervous, especially when we go off with friends or do something on our own, like driving for the first time. Instructions for raising a child, especially a teenager, are sort of like the instructions my daddy’s fencing instructor once gave me when he described how to hold a sword.

Sometimes, however, our embarrassment and shame come from something quite dramatic and serious, as in stories in which young people discover their fathers or mothers did some terrible things in their youth. They love their parents, and their parents love them, but when they make the horrible discovery, everything changes, regarding not only what they now think of their parents but also what they think of themselves, they feel stained, tainted. It is if if evil is in their blood.
So it was for me when I forced myself to realize fully what and who my father was and who he, my older sisters, and my nanny expecting me to become.

History: Both of his parents were shadow hunters. His father started training him the day he turned 6. Everyday for 5 hours Christian would have to train, and it only got harder as it went on. Christian didn't mind though, he even sometimes thought it was fun.

History:when Fae was seven her parents were killed by vampires, and she livedon the street until she was found by a shadow hunter. E realized straight off that she was one off them and took her to the institute. She was always very wary off people,but when she was betrayed by the one eho took her in((not telling hoe)) she became who she is today.

Weapon of choice: a wicked sharp scyth with a silver chain dangling on the hilt so she could ue it as a long range weapin if need be,and a whip with poisoned silver spiked sticking off of it
