District Eight specializes in the production of textiles (cloth, clothes, ect.) Children in this district head to the factories at a young age, working long hours at sewing machines or designing clothes for Capitol citizens. This district is described as a stinking, urban place with many, many factories, leading us to believe that many of the tributes there would have been unaccustomed to nature and therefore unfit for the Hunger Games.
