+Anima discussion

Town for selling goods and +Anima slaves.

The walls of the waiting room were thin; you could hear anything through these walls.

"Alright, this one's a fish, starting at 500 gillah! Any takers?" the loud voice of the auctioneer called out to the gathering crowd outside in the blistering heat.

No one said anything.

"Alrighty then. 400? 200?"

Silence.

"100 gilla? Anyone?"

More silence.

"Okay, 50? What about 20? Takers?"

"10?" he asked in vain.

No one spoke.

"Five?"

Someone called out a yes and the auctioneer did his usual "going once, going twice" thing.

In the waiting room, a few beings snickered. THe poor fish boy was sold for that much...

Jerome wasn't snickering, he was staring at the dusty floor, only concentrating on the rough binds that tightly wrapped his wrists. This world was so unfair. Get me out of here. He shut his eyes just as someone grabbed his neck roughly and shoved him along until he was on a dirty stage that looked like it was about to collapse.

"Anyone want a birdie? It has cute lil' wings. Starting at 7 pillah. Any takers?" the auctioneer asked. Jerome lowered his gaze to the stage, trying to control his anger. The human called him an "it".

(The treatment of +Anima differs greatly in Astaria and Sailand, the two major countries in the +Anima world. In Astaria, +Anima are treated in various ways. More commonly they are treated with suspicion or dislike, not necessarily hate, although some in the army see them as enemies. However, later in the series Astaria does try to recruit +Anima to work in the army, as to make use of their abilities. On the other hand, +Anima are valuable slaves, for example; Crystala (Husky's aunt, the twin sister of the king of Sailand) buying Senri for 7000 gillas (1 gilla = 100 billers, 1 biller = 1 yen). They are looked down on and seen as less than humans. They work for their masters and are arrested by hunters and sold in slave markets if they have no master (which happened to Husky at one point). To identify them as slaves, they are forced to wear collar- like chokers with their masters symbol.)

(The currency used is called gillah. Gillah are coins with numbers on it. Most things will cost 10 gillah or more, if you're lucky, it will be less. pillah are also used. 100 pillah is equal to 1 gillah.)

Jerome's skin prickled at the sound of a woman's voice. Then he wrinkled his nose when another voice called out that they'd take him for 7p, 50g.

@John: +anima are those people who are connected with an animal and can partly, or fully turn into that animal. You can read the description, wiki link and stuff on the group for a more detailed explanation xD ))

The man yelled out 800 gillah. Jerome shifted uncomfortably in the heat. Being auctioned off was a weird feeling.

Crystala raised her hand once more, determined to have him.

Dollar signs were gleaming in the auctioneer's eyes. "To the woman in the back?" He called out after she said her sum of money.

The man who wanted the crow didn't want to give up just yet and raised his own arm.

Some other person raised their arm aswell.

Crystala was as stubborn as ever and kept raising her hand

Crytala was the highest bidder and no one wanted to go over that amount of money. The auctioneer banged the gavel..

"Enjoy your new purchase!" he waved them away and then started onto the next seller.

Jerome grimaced at the auctioneers wording again and relectantly walked up to his new master.

"Hey, whats your name?" Crystala asked "Here put this on" She gave Jerome a choker with a flower on it (will find a pick)

((I checked out the new drawing^^ I love the detail and shading in the bow, it looks very 3D. I also love the shading throughout the neck as well as the shading in the clothes (sleeves espeacially) and I really love the facial shape and structure. The way you posed the figure was done well and shows good visual perception! >< but I think her eyebrows need to be evened out...sorry I go all critque on everything :P haha))

Jerome's lids drooped as he peered ahead. The sun's bright hot glaze was making his eyes hurt and his skin break into a sweat.

((Haha thanks :) Mmm yeah that happens! I was drawing this chick and her eyebrows were uneven so I thickened the thinner one and that one ended up too thick so I thickened the other one and she ended up looking like a bushy eyebrowed bear...so I was like "Screw you!"...I killed her. So I think it's best just to leave it alone :P lol!
