This book is about a raccoon who doesn't want to leave the comfort of his mother and his home and go to school. His mom tells him that he has to go and do things like this but then takes his hand and kisses it. She tells him wherever he goes he will have the kiss to make him feel his mothers love. I used to read this story when i was little and didn't want to leave home and go to school and it would always make me feel better.

I really like it because I got scared at school so me and mummy started to read it often. It's sad at the start you should proberly read it. It's good with chester racoon and his mummy missing each other and they work out a way to sort it out with the kissing hand.
My Mother read it to me the night before the first day of school. Now she reads it to my little sister! I love this book!
I love this book and it used to comfort me when I didn't want to leave. I recommend it to everyone who likes books like this
