Here are a few to try:

April showers brings May flowers

1. Read a book with flowers on the cover
2. Read a book with one of the following words in the title (rain, drizzle, storm, thunder, lightening)
3. Read a book first published in April (any year)
4. April Fools! Read a book that you think the cover does not match the description; or a funny book.

More ideas!

1. April Showers bring May flowers-Read a book that shows precipitation on the cover.

2.Keep America Beautiful Month-Read a book that takes place in either Washington State or Maine.

3. National Garden Month-Read a book where gardening or flowers are part of the story.

4. Kentucky Derby Week-Read a book where the characters are involved with horseracing.

5. Canada Book Day-Read a book by a Canadian author.

6. National Dance Week-Read a book where a type of dance is part of the title.

7. Tax Day-Read a book where one of the authors initials is I,R or S.

8.Patriots Day-Read a book where the American Flag is on the cover.

9. Confederate History Month-Takes place in a Confederate State. It doesn't have to take place during the Civil War only in a state that fought with the Confederacy. There are 11 states and I know which ones they are.

10.Cleaning for a Reason-Read a book where a cleaning supply is part of the title.

11. Gathering of Nations Week-Read a book that takes place in either Russia or China.

12.No Housework Day-Read a book where the main character is a stay at home mom.

I'm sure some of these are a repeat of above... Just wanted to give a boost for that extra challenge you need to read this month of April.

1. In honor of the saying, "April showers....." Read a book with precipitation on the cover.
2. It's time for spring cleaning. Read a book which has a cleaning product in the title.
3. Be Kind to Lawyers Day is April 9. Read a legal thriller or a book with a lawyer as the lead character.
4. Tax Day is April 15. Read a book which has an author with a first or last name beginning with "I", "R", or "S". OR Read a book that you really have not wanted to read, but someone highly recommended it to you.
5. Pigs in a Blanket Day is April 24. Read a book where the protagonist is a cop who lives in cold climate.
6. Dance Day is April 29. Read a book with a form of dance in the title or on the cover.
7. Honesty Day is April 30. Read a book that can be considered a guilty pleasure. You can be honest here; no one is going to judge you.
8. Iris Johansen (7), Janet Evanovich (22), Sue Grafton (24), and Lisa Unger (26) have birthdays in April. Read a book by any of these authors.

You may use the convenient template below:

1. Read a book with precipitation on the cover.
2. Read a book which has a cleaning product in the title.
3. Read a legal thriller or a book with a lawyer as the lead character.
4. Read a book which has an author with a first or last name beginning with "I", "R", or "S". OR Read a book that you really have not wanted to read, but someone highly recommended it to you.
5. Read a book where the protagonist is a cop who lives in cold climate.
6. Read a book with a form of dance in the title or on the cover.
7. Read a book that can be considered a guilty pleasure.
8. Read a book by Iris Johansen, Janet Evanovich, Sue Grafton, or Lisa Unger.
