As you might know, I moderate a number of other groups, but Dare to Dream is unique in the fact that it is the only group I currently moderate that is not author specific.

The Other Groups I moderate include:
Koontzland - Dean Koontz
Tess Gerritsen Fans
Stephen White - Alan Gregory
John Saul LitGroup (group name will be changing in April)

If you would like to tell about other goodreads groups, go ahead and post in this thread :-)

I think the next group I create will be for author Dan Chaon. His writing really speaks to me.

I am a member of 3 of those groups you listed. I'm not a big James Patterson fan :-) and I don't know what CBC means, so now you know which 2 I haven't joined.

Pattersonville - James Patterson? That sounds suspiciously similar to Koontzland - Dean Koontz Hmmmm.

Marc-Antoine Yeah, I ripped you off, lol.

CBC is the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, it promotes Canadian literature and authors. Some of my favorites include; Joseph Boyden , Michael Ondaatje , and Guy Vanderhaeghe .

So, you started that James Patterson Group?

message 8: by Marc-Antoine (new)

Marc-Antoine Yeah, he's a guilty pleasure, whenever I want a quick read, where I don't need any brain power, I pick up a Patterson book. I do find his books fun to read though, some more than others, but all easy simple reads.

The only James Patterson book I've read is Mary, Mary:
Mary, Mary (Alex Cross, #11) by James Patterson

Have not read that one, and based on your dislike of the guy maybe I should stay away.

I thought the book was good enough, you should read Mary, Mary. I just haven't gotten into James Patterson - isn't he one of those authors who have other people write for him and puts out several books a year with his name on them?

message 12: by Marc-Antoine (new)

Marc-Antoine Yeah, he's one of them, at least he let's them put their names on the book cover...I'm certain many others don't.

That's kinda turned me off trying him though :-(

message 14: by Marc-Antoine (new)

Marc-Antoine I tried reading Clive Cussler once, could not get into it, never finished the book.

Is the John Saul name change going to be The Manhattan Hunt Club by chance?

message 17: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 3544 comments I could be wrong but i think james patterson writes the alex cross books- only his name appears on those and it was after alex cross that he got very famous. I like the series-have read all but the newest one (#18) but the first 4 are the best in the series.
