I agree completely! The chariot/presentation scene was a little let down and I would've liked a little more detail with Thresh's death. I hate when people say oh the movie was awful just because they left out part of the book. Well, DUH if they put every single thing in the movie that was in the book it'd be a 6 hour movie!
They got Gale's and Peeta's eyes wrong. (Gale=Grey...Liam=Blue...Peeta=Blue...Josh=Brown) Nowadays when you can CG it or put in contacts you have to get the color right. Also the Mutts. I swear you need the eyes and hair and collars. It was like major cool part in my mind and the movie ruined it. XPThen it got better but to me the whole thing just needed some detail. At least they got the number of arrows right. I was so happy about. It is weird when the movie director gets huge scenes all wrong (interviews with Caesar Flickerman...what happened to the line of all the tributes in order?) and then small details right, (The notes in the packages..it was exactly what was in the book in her head. You can't really get in someone's head in a movie)
Other than the little things that I'm sure I only caught I loved it!
I was thinking the same thing about the arrows! And the tributes... I was kinda mad about the cornucopia. It was different and the way Thresh died and Katniss got the medicine were way different too.
She didn't shove a needle into Peeta. Oh! And when Peeta gets bit in his leg he doesn't limp and doesn't get a whatchamacallit. Or a new leg!

Dear Tributes,
I have read ALL The Hunger Games Books and I have seen the Hunger Games movie and let me tell everyone THAT IS HOW YOU TAKE A STORY INTO A PICTURE! Gary Ross is new in Hollywood but he is shutting everyone up. His interpretation of the story is excellent. The plot written by Suzanne Collins is told through the eyes of the main character Katniss, and so is the movie. Today many people asked what did I think of the Hunger Games and all I could say was "wacky, weird and so perfect!", I am a true fan.
Why do I think that this movie is weird?? Well, that's easy to answer. Gary got something beautiful out of it he conjugated all the images captured and made simple but big transitions and camera shots. Although they are a bit messy and WEIRD they were able to give you something totally different from what you have seen before. The killings were not violent but at the same time they were creepy and awesome, one of my favorite moments was the cat fight between Katniss and Isabelle Fuhrman' s mean and unscrupulous Clove, her dead is profound and horrific but it worked really well, just like Glimmer's and Marvel's (nice speech from Alexander Ludwig at the end). Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss) deserves more than what Hollywood as given to her, the acting of this true talent is just admirable and the role of Katniss fits her perfectly. Willow Shields as Prim did emotional and cute I agree that this girl has a promising future. Josh Hutcherson was Josh Hutcherson, he played a very genuine Peeta. Amandla Stenberg just like Willow is cute and and amazing actress. I think that maybe Gale was not shown properly in the film but it's true that at some point in the book he also "disappears" (But Liam got it). Effie and Haymitch did everyone laugh and I think that are a very typical opposite couple, still Elizabeth could have exaggerated a bit more in what comes to her character. All the cast was excellent!
Of course this movie is not a bed of roses for The Hunger Games fans, there are parts missing like Madge and Cornucopia's lack of gold. There is this scene which I completely disapprove of, the presentations of the tributes scene :( The effects are awful and President Snow's speech is not the best. Someone like me (read the books) may think that the scenes are too long because you're always expecting the next one and the next one and it just doesn't happen and that is a negative point in all of it. I believe the final scene should have been way more emotional and similar to the one in the book because a final scene is essential to the movie's success because it's the one part that people will think about when they leave the movie theater.
The soundtrack during the picture was not full of teenage Pop-stars kind of music but it was mainly instrumentals which I think works way better than singed music. It is also powerful.
Another very strong funny and amazing scene was Katniss' arrow and bow explosion with the producers from games. Epical! "Thank you for your consideration." :3
The final result is not what you would expect from this kind of phenomenon, they didn't need much special effects like Harry Potter to show the essence of the movie or much kissing and desperate love like in Twilight all they needed was to be truthful, and let me tell you dear readers THEY WERE!
I can't wait for "Catching Fire" but we still have to wait over a year :(
May the odds be ever in your favor! ;)
