Spencer looked up, hearing a faint voice. He saw a brunette girl, making her way along the rocks. For a moment, he thought of calling out to her, but the look on her face distracted him. She looked pretty concentrated, and he didn't want to send her toppling over the edge of a cliff. That would just be hard on his conscience.
Mandy continued walking along the cliffs, dangerously close to the edge. She peeked over at the water far below and wondered what it would feel like to fall for that long. Not that she planned on doing it. Mandy turned away from the edge and saw someone watching her. She raised a perfectly arched eyebrow and walked over to him. "Saying hi is usually less creepy than staring."
Spencer grinned. "I planned on it." he commented, sitting up and brushing off his pants. He reached out to shake her hand, "Spencer Paxton, and you are?"
Mandy looked at his hand before shaking it hesitantly. "I'm Mandy Lanfair," she introduced herself. "And what exactly are you?" she asked bluntly.
He laughed at her hesitation, but he wondered how his hand felt to her? Abnormally warm? Cold? He thought about asking, but dismissed the thought quickly. "Now that would just spoil the mystery!" he said, sounding a bit put out. Of course he was acting, but still.
Mandy smirked. "Playing hard to get are we? Okay, I can do that," she said. "So, do you often come here to sit on the ground and stare at girls?" she asked. Mandy wasn't the kind of person that people automatically became friends with and she wondered how Spencer would react.
Spencer listened to her intently, and his smile only became more amused. She had a mouth. "Foxy Hottie." he mumbled, using the nickname his friend had once used for a girl who was incredibly snarky-but cute as can be. "I only stare at the ones who give me a reason." he said, making it sound like a challenge.
"I heard that," Mandy said, smiling. She took in what he had said. "Well that's good because I only talk to the ones who give me a reason," she retorted.
"You were meant to." he quipped, taking a step towards her. Spencer moved past her, only inches away from her small frame, a test. He bit his lip so he wouldn't laugh, one of his favorite things to do was tease people. Push them till the snapped. He glanced over his shoulder at Mandy, wondering how far he could test her breaking point. "And what reason have I given you? Besides my flaming appearance."
Mandy frowned as he walked past her. She couldn't help but notice how nice he smelled, but shook that thought out of her head. What was he doing? Mandy smiled to herself and decided to play along. She walked up behind him. "Your overwhelming charm brings me endless joy," she whispered in his ear, her voice dripping in sarcasm.
Spencer met her eyes, it was obvious he was enjoying himself. He moved forward, and brushed the hair away from her face so he could whisper in her ear. "Your sarcasm and wit bring me endless amusement." he replied, leaning ever closer, before completely pulling away and continuing farther down the cliff.
Mandy completely forgot what she was doing when he leaned closer to her. When he moved away, she let out a breath she didn't realize she had been holding in. Wow, this guy is good, she thought. I just have to be better. She caught up with him and stood in his path. Mandy took a step closer to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She looked up at him and stroked his cheek. "Sorry," she said, stepping away. "You had a little left over sleep drool."
"Funny, I hadn't been sleeping." he said, stepping with her. "I mean, I know I can be irresistible. But don't you have some sort of self control?" he joked, smoldering her with his eyes. Spencer held his surprise deep down, she was turning out to be more of a tease then he was. She was quite attractive..
"Irresistible? I just didn't want you to be embarrassed, especially since you have drool on your face and you haven't even been sleeping." Mandy turned to the edge of the cliff, letting her hair blow around her face in the sea breeze. She fanned her face. "Sorry, I'm just a little hot," she said, glancing sideways at him.

Spencer sighed, and he jumped a couple feet down to the next layer of the path. "Foxy Hottie!" he retorted, as if it should have been obvious. "But, I'm hotter. Trust me on that." he said, a note of honesty there in his tone. He was talking about his affinity for fire, not that she'd understand that part of it.
Mandy followed him, jumping gracefully from rock to rock. "Is Foxie Hottie really the best you can do? How old are you, five?" she asked. "And trust me, I am hotter than you give me credit for," she replied, also referring to her control over fire.
"Well I could call you a Sexy Babe, but I like to keep it PG13." he said, yet again-a challenge. "Yeah? For some reason...I doubt that." he added, almost blushing. Whether she would connect that to him already thinking she was quite hot, or him being sarcastic he wasn't sure. Although he was feeling the latter.
((yup! this should be very interesting indeed! *rubs hands excitedly*))Mandy couldn't stand it anymore. She definitely liked this guy. "Okay, okay. I give up," she said, sighing. "Although Sexy Babe is much better than Foxy Hottie," she admitted. Mandy stepped closer to him. "But I am without a doubt hotter then you," she said, sticking her arms, palms up, straight up in the air. Without warning, her hands exploded into flame, sending twin streams of fire into the sky.
Spencer smiled. "You'll come around to Foxy Hottie eventually, that name comes with a back story." he said, but was silenced when she stepped closer. He watched with a poker face as she sent flames into the air, rather recklessly. "Think what ever you want.." he said, touching her waist gently. "But if I were you, I wouldn't continue a battle I couldn't win."
((I can just imagine. In like--another couple of days. He'll do something with fire, and she'll be all like O.O
And he'll be like "You never asked." *seductive smile*))
And he'll be like "You never asked." *seductive smile*))
((haha totally!))Mandy smirked and extinguished the flames. "I think my odds of winning are pretty high," she told him. "And if you don't let me win, I could always just burn your face off," she added.
"Now, now. Don't get cocky, then you'll lose for sure!" he smiled, observing she hadn't reacted to his hand at her waist. Spencer leaned forward, once again to whisper in her ear as he had done before. She was radiating with heat, and he was head over heals attracted to her in that moment. "I'll let you win, if that makes you feel better."
"And what happens if I win your little game?" she whispered back. Mandy smiled and moved her head back so that she could look him in the eyes. "Do I get a prize?"
Spencer met her eyes, and then his gaze dropped down to her lips. He thought about it for a second...and if he was right, him not kissing her would bother her, more than it would him. Which at the moment, was bothering him intensely. "No." he breathed, sidestepping her once again, and jumping down the the next lower level.
Mandy guessed what he was doing and he was absolutely correct. Them not kissing bothered her immensely. She rolled her eyes and hopped down the rocks, passing him and moving closer to the waves at the bottom. "That's really too bad, I like prizes," she said, looking out at the ocean.
"Well people who lose, don't usually win prizes now do they?" he asked, sarcasm ringing in every word.
"That's why I don't plan on losing," she said, flashing him a bright smile. She sat down on a large flat rock and basked in the sunlight. "Are you gonna stand up there all day?" she asked, patting the space next to her. "I'm kind of lonely down here."
"You will, I do, and I'm sorry." he said, answering each one of her statements in order. 2/3 responses being sarcastic. Spencer ran his hand through his hair, feeling the heat and loving it.
Mandy sighed. "Stop being so immature," she told him. "Am I going to have to come up there and get you myself?" she asked, her tone indicating that she actually wouldn't mind that option.
"I'm not being immature, i'm being realistic." he commented, biting his lip. "And reeaaalllyyy, that's quite interesting. I told you I was irresistible. You just can't keep your hands off me."
"Well someone's a little concieted," she muttered. There was, however, some truth in what he said. Mandy was having a hard time not staring at him. She moved a little further down the rocks. "It's okay, I understand if you're scared. Some people just like to play it safe," she said sympathetically, moving closer to the bottom of the cliff.
Spencer found it ironic that he was probably teasing himself more than her. But that didn't make him go to her, no, not yet. "If your going to bait me, at least make the taunt a little more believable." he called out to her, giving her a sexy smile. "I for one, like heights."
Mandy rolled her eyes, then had an idea that would really test him. There was a small cave near the bottom of the cliffs that was completely concealed when looking down the cliff face. She was sure Spencer wouldn't be able to see it from where he was standing. "Whatever you say," she called back up to him. She hopped further down the cliff then performed a rather realistic slip that sent her tumbling down the rocks and into the cave. She stifled a laugh, wondering what exactly he would do.
"Mandy!" he screamed, jumping ten feet down without hesitation. Spencer looked for the exact spot she had tumbled down, but all he could think about was broken bones and a cracked spine. He jumped down again, and this time was surprised to find a cave entrance, where Mandy stood, just inside. "Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?" he asked a rush, almost running towards her. He grabbed her arm and checked for any cuts, and his expression became baffled, when she seemed perfectly fine.
Mandy doubled over, laughing hysterically. She stood up, wiping tears from her eyes. "I can't believe you fell for that!" she said, still laughing. "I'm fine, it was all staged!" Mandy finally stopped laughing and took a step closer to him. "I think I just won," she informed him.
Spencer dropped his hands, and he expression was blank. Other than the flicker of irritation at the mentioning of her winning. He had actually been worried for her, and she had done it on purpose to get that kind of reaction out of him? "Well then that's your prize," he snapped, stepping away from her, kind of hurt. "Because I don't play that game."
Mandy's smile faded when she saw his expression and she knew she'd gone too far this time. "But it was just-" She stopped, not wanting to hurt him even more. Mandy sighed, she had never been good with apologies. "I'm really sorry," she said, looking down at her hands. "I shouldn't have done that."
Spencer looked around the cave, and anywhere but Mandy as he thought. (So as not to let her hot bod influence his thoughts) She had most likely meant it as a joke, and he was probably over reacting anyways. Mandy did seem sorry...
Spencer reached out and grabbed her by the belt loops, effectively pulling her right into him. He let his lips brush across her neck, and he couldn't hide his smirk. "Was that forfeit I heard?" he whispered.

Mandy jumped when he grabbed her, then smiled when he kissed her neck. She reached up and put her hands on his cheeks, pulling her head back a little. "No," she whispered back. "But this is," she said, leaning forward and kissing him on the lips, something she'd wanted to do since she first laid eyes on him.
Spencer responded to her kiss enthusiastically, but pulled away, having an idea. "What's my prize?" he asked, eyes shining.
((Sorry, I was at church))Mandy looked up innocently at him. "Your prize," she said slowly. "Is the privilege of getting to kiss me," she told him with a smirk.
"I see." he said, deliberating the pro's and con's. Spencer stepped away from her, and walked from the cave. He couldn't figure out exactly what was happening here. He'd known Mandy for approximately an hour, and he was already sure he could marry her on the spot.
Well. Maybe that was exaggerating quite a bit, but she was a foxy hottie.
