Once Upon A Time... discussion

Juilet peeked into the ballroom. Seeing that no one seemed to be there she slipped in through the French doors. God, she hated crowds. She always seemed to become the center of attention with people hanging on her every word. They were all creepy.

Eric crossed through the crowds, trying to get some air. It was stifling and he really wanted a break from everything.

I have to go back in sometime.... she thought. Juilet looked up at the moon, and the beautiful cold, distant stars. Maybe I could stay out here a little while longer.

Eric emerged from the ballroom, breathing in the cool night air. He shoved his hands in his pockets, walking down a dirt path

Juilet was beneath a willow tree, dozing off. She sighed as a cool breeze made the willows branches sway, tickling her.

Eric turned a corner and noticed someone sleeping under a tree. Curious, he stepped forward

Juilet shifted a little, she was dreaming in a perfect world were people would talk her normally, with their own opoions and feelings instead of just agreeing with her. Were she was accepted instead of gloried.

He sat down beside her, leaning against the tree and glancing up at the starts.

Juilet was still dreaming, she didn't even twich when Eric sat besde her.

Eric began to hum, wondering who the girl was

All of sudden, she shot staright up. Almost hitting her head on the trunk of the tree.

Eric jumped as she shot up, his eyes wide. "Uh..."

"Crap. Non." Juilet brushed off her red dress. She looked at Eric. "Hey?" she said it like a question

He smiled warily, "Hello."

"Um, so. What are you doing?" Juilet asked, awkwardly, trying to make herself more presentable.

Eric shrugged, embararssed, "I..uh, just saw you and decided to sit down. Sorry."

Juilet blinked rapidly, starting to stand up.

Eric watched her, staying seated. "I'm Eric...by the way."

"Juliet." she held her hand out.

He took it, shaking it lightly, "Pleasure to meet you."

"The pleasure is all mine," she said, politely.

He grinned, "So what are you doing sleeping under a tree at night?"

"Trying to get some rest before I have to go back into that ballroom." Juliet said, a bit amused.

Eric chuckled at that, "Yes, it is very crowed in there."

"It's tresome to talk to those bubbleheads." Juliet said, sighing delicately.

He chuckled, "That too. "

Juliet's lips curved up into a smile but it didn't quite reach her eyes.

"So why go to balls if you dislike them?" He asked

"I am required to, parents suck." Juliet said, brushing off her red dress. It was stark against her skin.

Eric grimmaced, "That's the worst."

"I know! My mother thinks I'm to antisocial for a bastard princess." Juliet said, crossing her arms.

Eric chuckled, "You don't seem antisocial to me."

Juliet smiled and laughed at that. "I just prefer the company of people that are 'below my rank'. Or are 'not to socialized with'."

Eirc laughed, "Well you've come to the right person then."

"Great." Juliet's smile widened.

He grinned back, "I'm Eric, by the way."

"Juliet," she said, she stuck her hand out.

He took it, smiling, "Pleasure to meet you"

"The pleasure is all mine, Eric."

He chuckled, "Do you think we should get back? MY family might be missing me by now."

"Only, if I meet this dear family of yours." she said, lowering her eyelashes.

He laughed, slightly surprised, "Well ok."
