Has the next book been chosen yet? I don't know if it hasn't happened yet or I missed it.

Not yet. A lot of people have voted on this list but we haven't formally decided we are going to read and discuss the current leader on the list, A Perfect Spy.

Of course I favor picking a book and time to discuss . . what do others think?

I also favor picking a book and time to discuss, and the Le Carre would be fine with me. I tend to read fast, so the previous once-a-monthish timeline worked perfectly well for me.

I am happy to defer all book club matters to Catherine.

I'm not sure what the mechanics of choosing a book and telling everyone would be. Also I suspect people aren't visiting Goodreads frequently.

Maybe if you know who and where the likely book club members are, give them a "last chance to vote" reminder, and then pick the leader.
