Jennifer Lawrence did a pretty good job, she is a much better actress than said person.
I thought the romance was sweeter in the book.
I also thought the violence was worse on film than in the book.
It's worth the tickets so go watch it ASAP!!
I completely agree with Rochelle. I too thought, that the romance in the book was sweeter, and I couldn't stop comparing them either.
I think that my favourite part in the movie was the scene where Rue died. Please don't misunderstand me xD I just thought it was well-played and all, not that I was happy for Rue died, which I was certainly not!
I wouldn't mind watching/reading The Hunger Games again!:-)

Rue's death was still pretty sad...
Although I have to admit that I felt stronger emotions while I was reading it than when I was watching the movie.
My favorite part were the reaping and Rue's death. I especially like the three fingers good bye thing. It gave me goose bumps.
I was disappointed when the gores and violence were cut. I wish there were more Cinna moments too. I am very fond of him.
Lastly, for some reason I liked the movie version of Seneca Crane better than the book version. In the book it was just mentioned that he was killed but in the movie it was shown in the last part. Also the actor playing him was really good.

I watched, and even though I couldn't help myself from comparing it to the book, I la-la-la-LOVED it. I think the only way you could have not enjoyed it is if you came in thinking this is going to suck and continued to be closed-minded throughout the movie. Some people were just plainly nit-picking. They had me going in to see the movie thinking it was going to suck.
I know I'm a little late because the movie came out a week ago, but my procrastination does not come from a lack of excitement. I just haven't seen it yet. So while I'm waiting for my go at the movies, why don't you guys tell me about it. Don't worry about posting spoilers, it's my own fault for not watching it earlier.
Was it worth the $15 tickets or do you wish that you spent that time rereading the book instead?
Did you spend most of the time comparing it to the book or did you think the movie brought something new to the story?
Did Jennifer Lawrence do Katniss justice or did she just Kirsten Stewart up the Hunger Games (no offense to you K-Stew fans)?
What was your favorite part of the movie?
What did you dislike most about the movie?
