Iunisi So I've read all francine river books! and i've loved them all!! does anyone else know similar books i can read besides francine or any recommendations??

Kristen The Liz Curtis Higgs' Lowland of Scotland series is similar to Redeeming Love because it's the retelling of a Bible story. And it's so good.

Marnie (Enchanted Bibliophile) I've also read most of Francine's books, except for the last two Her Mother's Hope and Her Daughter's Dream.
I also enjoy Karen Kingsbury; Walter Wangerin Jr. and Eric Wilson.
Eric being my favourite, most of his books are made in to movies for example : Fireproof; Flywheel and Facing the Giants. But there's a lot more : my link text
Hope you find something you like!

Jocelyn Gunter There is a book called Eve's Daughter's by Lynn Austin Eve's Daughters by Lynn Austin I think it's like Francine River's Daughter's Hope/Mother's Dream books...

Hadassah One Night With the King Hadassah One Night with the King by Tommy Tenney was a great book based on Esther.

There is another series by Lynn Austin. Chronicles of the King series, starts with Gods and Kings (Chronicles of the Kings #1) by Lynn Austin . (5 book series) I was given this series but haven't had a chance to read it yet. It's about Hezikiah and Joshua...

Bodie & Brock Thoene have books about bible history as well...

Just a few I could think of. Nothing has really compared to Redeeming Love and The Mark of the Lion series for me, they are in my top all time favorites! :)

Amy Daughter of Joy (Brides of Culdee Creek #1) by Kathleen Morgan Very similar to Redeeming Love

You'll have to post what you thought of them when you get to read them! :)

Susie Here Burns My Candle series by Liz Curis Higgs ... Jacob/Leah/Rachael set in Scotland. Lynn Austin, Jane Kirkpatrick have some food stuff, too! Some already mentioned in other comments. both have historical themes. Lisa Wingate is great if you want more modern themes!

Sabrina Seaside Letters by Denise Hunter
The Silent Governess by Julie Klassen
Lady of Milkweed Manor by Julie Klassen
She Walks in Beauty by Siri Mitchell

They are all set in an older era minus Seaside Letters but that is still a good book.

Molly Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon

Emilee The Fountain Creek Chronicles is a series by Tamera Alexander. My favorite all-time series! Let me know what you think if you decide to read it. It's not as emotional as "Redeeming Love", but it is set in the same time period. All three books have good plots, beautiful settings and wonderful characters.

Katie Maybe Julie Lessman to a lesser degree?

Zumbagirl Maybe Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison and The Red Tent by Anita Diamant . I read Song of Solomon in high school and it was excellent. I think it was a parallel relationship with Ishmael and Hagar and the characters in the book

I agree. I'd say they were very similar.

Phyllis Divine by Karen Kingsbury is similar to Redeeming Love. I really liked it, but then I haven't read anything by her that I didn't like.

Heather Blanton If I may be so bold, but my book is compared to Redeeming Love frequently. A Lady in Defiance is gritty, but only because that's reality. Christians don't live in a warm, fuzzy world. At least I don't. Sometimes Christian fiction hits me as "fluffy," and when I wrote this book, I did a lot of research. Mining towns were NOT nice places. Over 7000 downloads since mid-February and the reviews are wonderful. It's been stunning to me the way readers have responded. It's because it's a real romance about REAL Christians. We're flawed and we have weaknesses, yet God loves us anyway. I am truly grateful for his grace and mercy.

Heather, I just looked for your book on B&N, because it sounded like something I might like to read. But I guess I won't, because I can't afford it. It was going for anywhere between $191 and $351. Too pricey for me.I love to read but I have to draw the line somewhere.

It's only 2.99 on Amazon, and free to borrow it for the Kindle.

Shirene If you are looking for great stories set in the modern age then you might want to look at The O'Malley series by Dee Henderson. They are a wonderful series of Christian book with depth of character, soul stirring themes, delightful twists and turns and outstanding romance.
I would suggest starting with The Negotiator.

Dee also has a wonderful military series called Uncommon Heroes. Start with True Devotion. Hope that this helps.

You are so right. That is a great series. I have rated all of her books a 5.

I loved the Fountain Creek Chronicles as well.

Emilee Which book was your favorite? One of the things that makes the series so good is the side characters. I loved all three books but I think book 3 is the best, I have read it twice. I think Jack's character is so well written.

I agree I loved each book as I read them but by far Jack is my favorite. And when I first started it I did not think I would like Veronique but as the book unfolded she became a dear and not at all what I expected her to be. Yes that one was by far my favorite.

I'm intrigued by your response. I'm buying for my kindle and will read it when i'm finished with Milk Glass Moon by Andriana Trigiani.
