Well, since this is right here...
One of the big things I picked up on during the revolution was that generally everybody is dissatisfied when it comes to story feedback. Which makes sense, because that topic was mildly to extremely useless.
I think an easy way of fixing that would be to go into a 'you review me, I review you' kind of system. But I don't know. I'm not clever enough for this stuff. SO YOU SHOULD ALL TALK AND FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU WANT.

I just posted this in another topic but ... yeah. I kind of hate swapping just because it tends to lower the level of people's feedback. That is, they'll give something a good review just because they want a good review in return. Experience on sites like Inkpop and Figment has demonstrated this ... On the other hand, it does force people to read things. So, I don't know.

I don't really want anyone to feel obliged to read my work just because I read theirs. I mean, it would be nice if they were to return the read but it were seen as the "right" thing to do then I feel like writing feedback (something that I enjoy immensely) would become a chore, or that people would be motivated to do it for the wrong reasons- as Brigid said, part of the reason I think Inkpop went down the drain was because of the review system.

^This.
Ugh, yeah, that one is extremely difficult. I wouldn't mind swapping, as long as the reviews were honest.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
This is the short story I wrote for the Less Than Three Book contest. It didn't get in, but I'm still very happy with this story. It's about a boy and a girl who are close friends online and how they meet for the first time and things don't go the way she imagined they would. It also references The Perks of Being a Wallflower a lot because I love that book.

Hello people!!I just joined this group recently, but I've really been wanting someone to read some of my writing. I feel bad about just interrupting like this, but if anybody has any time to spare, please feel free to offer constructive criticism, por favor! :) http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/2...
This is sort-of a chapter of something longer, but I just wanted to know if it was confusing or hard to follow or boring?
:)
Stacey, I'm interested, but are you sure that's the right link? I clicked on it and it said something about "Happy New Year's" and poetry.

I created an original knight for the Round Table and wrote a short story about him for school. It's rushed, but I think it turned out pretty nicely.
