Who's Reading?!?!?!?!
This has to be, next to Blay and Qhuinn, the most anticipated BDB novel. Did it live up to your expectiations? Who's reading? What are your thoughts? Did you love it, hate it or find yourself on a middle road like me?

Ditto Rj :-) I wish i'd dragged out reading it though, now the wait for the next book is going to be horrible!

I planned to hate it (the whole Tohr & No'One romance Hmm) but i absolutely loved how everything played out. Totally a tear-worthy addition to the series!

I agree...never wanted to see anyone else with Tohr except Wellsie and his son but by the end of the book I realized how selfish that was. Everyone should have a second chance at love and Tohr will definitely never forget the love he has for Wellsie. It's great that he can become the man he was before. I am really amazed at how Ward made me have that turn around...I even like No'One now ( and that's an accomplishment).

(view spoiler)[I felt like No'One/Autumn was being nothing more than a door mat for Tohr! Yea yea, I know, she was in her very own In Between and allowing him to treat her as he did was all part of it. It still sucked, I hate seeing a woman being stupid for a man. I don't like that Payne didn't speak up, at all, for Xhex when they had that meeting. She of all people knows damn well how she felt. And as per usual nowadays, I found myself liking the sidestories better than the actual story. Don't get me wrong, I did love it, and I truly feel Torhment on the grief aspect (which was written perfectly btw) but....idk. I really wanna see if anything transpires with Layla and Xcor, THAT would be interesting. And *clears throat* I TOLD YOU SO!!!! I knew they were gonna have Qhuinn knock up Layla! LOL (hide spoiler)]

I didn't either and there were still times at the beginning of the book when i was like 'just bring Wellsie back!' lol. Especially when he was thinking about other Shellans that had been given the same sort of chance, it was so sad!
But yeah, i agree. He definitely deserved a second chance at love & Ward totally pulled it off with convincing me No'One was worthy lol.

I won't mention what happens -just in case- but the lead up to the ending...erm, did anyone else nearly shout at their book or throw it? I think you'll know which scene i'm referring to! lol

Yes Tiff...you were right about the Layla/ Qhuinn situation... and I'm not happy about it!

(view spoiler)[I have to say, that I see Layla as very manipulative in this situation. She knew Qhuinn was going to refuse her so she pulls the "unconditional love of a child" card on Qhuinn knowing how vulnerable he is because of his lack of a loving family upbringing and his turmoil with Blay. I was really unacceptable according to my point of view.

This will also bring so much turmoil into the upcoming situation (which is probably why Ward wrote it). Think about it...Qhuinn will have to deal with splitting time between pregnant Layla and trying to have a relationship with Blay. Why did Qhuinn ever invite Layla to stay with him? How are he and Blay ever going to have much needed alone time? This also ensures Layla's permanent involvement in Qhuinn , and Blay's lives. Then throw in the demands of new fatherhood, because you know Qhuinn is going to want to be uberdad since his father was such a loser. Throw in the upcoming Layla-Xcor relationship to add another helping of complication. How can Qhuinn be alright with Xcor around his child and how will Xcor deal with Qhuinn knowing that he "sullied" Xcor's virginal angel? And I'm sure Saxton will be hanging around to "help" Blay cope with all the coming confrontations and misunderstandings. (hide spoiler)]

No, I'm not sure which scene you're referring to,,,can you clarify?

The ceremony...what happens to No'One as Tohr looks for her and she makes her way over. *Poof* lol.

(view spoiler)[Their HEA is going to be the most screwed up of everyones! This will never be resolved between the three, or should I say four, of them now. And what will they do about Xcor, its more than apparent that Layla is in love with him, and Xcor is deeply in love with her. SHe is the only female who ever looked him with more than disgust in her eyes. He has redeemable qualities, but how can he overcome what he did to the King? (hide spoiler)]

Well, it would have been unfair if she never came back.
But talking about fair and coming back from the dead reminds me of the point in the book where Tohr questions why Wellsie wasn't returned to him. He thinks about how Jane was returned to V and Mary to Rhage...why couldn't Wellsie have been returned to him? Makes me wonder too...

Now how about Qhuinn becoming a Brother. Do you think John will be inducted too? I remember reading somewhere (some previous Ward interview) that Qhuinn and John would be Brothers but Blay would not. That seems kind of unfair, unless it is Blay's decision and then why would he decide not to be one? (hide spoiler)]

Yeah this was totally unfair. And i still think if she was returned to him, why wasn't wellsie! Maybe there'll be more trouble in paradise as the series continues...?

Blay wouldn't be? Surely it'll be his own decision, i can't see him being left out in that way unless he does something bad? Hmm

Next topic up...John and Xhex.

(view spoiler)[ So I enjoyed the marital tension between John and Xhex. It was actually pretty realistic to see that marriage is not all HEA all the time. I know V and Jane had their unhappy moments last book but John and Xhex's were very believable given the issues. What I didn't care for was that it took a year for them to resolve them; that seemed like a really long separation but maybe in vamp time it isn't. Do you think the resolution is reasonable? Will John be worrying less knowing that Xhex is out there fighting without him knowing what's going on? (hide spoiler)]

I think if their relationship is left alone n they've got over it, it won't exactly be believable. It's too abrupt if u know what i mean. That whole situation was totally realistic of the situation, we know Xhex is kick-ass and won't take no crap. I hope she continues to be that way!

I'm glad she found a new villian to throw in the mix, the lessers were falling off with creativity. I'm happy to say I cannot wait to see what the next book brings. I love the dialogue. I love the humor. I love the character development that is in every book. We grow with them. Awesome book!"

So am I the only one that LOVED the angel through this whole book? That's a novel that should be in the works! I bet I'd be laughing every time he opened his mouth. Man he's almost my favorite character!

LOL. No, I def feel the same way. I'm wondering if she's going to move him over to her fallen angel series now. Have u read that 1?

I love the Fallen Angel series more and more. The first book was good but by the 3rd she had just developed the characters so well that when the Eddie / Adrian thing happened I couldn't believe it. I love the backgrounds she is developing for each character.

I haven't read the third one yet!!! R they togehter now?!

Tiffany, if she answered that question she'd spoil the shocker of the third novel! I have indeed read the Fallen Angel series. the Eddie/Adrian thing blew my mind. Can't wait for you to know what it is.

It should be your next one! I just got Tempted and Hunted from Dark Protectors ...hope to read each of those this weekend.
