i know, you would be surprised how many books dont
Justin wrote: "i think that the author really put a lot of thought into the creation of this novel."If you actually talked to the author I think you would probably be right.
Most authors mean a lot more than is just in words in a book.

What do you guys think of Effie Trinket? She seems a bit superficial, and fake, not at all like a real person would react to things. And Madge? She seems nice, and almost sorry that she is better off than everybody else in district twelve.
Mason wrote: "Why would the bakers wife care if someone took her trash?"well she said it happens all the time so i imagine it wouold get pretty annoying after years.

She seems nice, and almost sorry that she is better o..."She is part of the capitol's "normal" life, just like evryone else, just for the show.

Justin, it's okay if you're not in control of the discussion. She assigned me the job of opening the discussion for a reason. The website wouldn't let me create the discussion if I didn't have something in the comment section, so I decided to put the question there to save time. It wouldn't have given you any extra time to post...

Mason wrote: "What do you guys think of Effie Trinket? She seems a bit superficial, and fake, not at all like a real person would react to things. And Madge? She seems nice, and almost sorry that she is better o..."Effie seams like a clueless idiot
Mason wrote: "Why would the bakers wife care if someone took her trash?"It's degrading... If someone was rummaging through YOUR trash, what would you do?
Noelle wrote: "I quite enjoyed the pace. It helped me visualize."i agree with you noelle. The pace is very good and so is the visilization. although the replay value isnt very great.

Well... I doubt she actually has lots of feelings for other people, but I don't think she is a sad person... I mean, all the people in the Capitol are messed up, and think mostly about themselves, it seems.

a neat freak? she has to keep high profile. being so self centered would really bring self confidence plummeting.
I didnt like the begining so much. I mostly didnt like it because it started off slow and seemed like a stupid book in the begining.
