Wow! That's awesome that Fire Study made it up to the audible.com top 50 for 2008 and was Audible's Editor pick for 2008! Congrats! :D
WOW that is great to hear, I may just have to see if the library has it in so I can see the difference between me reading it and someone else reading it to me LOL
That is amazing! Does audible work for MP3 players and IPods? I haven't researched the site yet, I just know that we use audible at my school library for our IPod Shuffles.
Yeah, you just need to sign up for an audible account and they charge you a certain amount of money per book.
yes but I wonder if anyone will be able to talk to me if I buy them in audio I think I would always have the speaker in my ear
Audible really saves the coins! I'm paying something like $22 for 2 credits a month. The credits per book vary. For instance: Audacity of Hope only cost 1 credit, while The Amber Spyglass cost 2. So break it down: most of the audio bks that I buy only cost me about $11 per book. That's really a good deal.
If you're thinking about it, send Alethea a message to invite you so that she gets credit. She's the one who told me about it, so I don't mind handing over the reward credits for invites.

Yes, that is awesome. I didn't know you can get credit that way. We have an account at school, I still haven't looked at it.. too much temptation.

yes I know I haven't done anything yet and I really have to LOL but I enjoy talking books and talking with people that are not kids HEHE
I haven't been able to finish the audio book of Poison Study yet. Is it just me or do other people find that some of the pronunciations of names are different to what they imagined? To me, Valek rhymes with Dalek (you know, from Doctor Who). Like Var-lek. And I tend to pronounce Irys like the German's do (ee-ris instead of eye-ris). When I'm listening to the book and they pronounce it differently it always takes my brain a second to catch up.
Or, my inability to finish it could be due to the fact that the American accent tends to grate on me after a while. If only they could get an Aussie to read it... ;)
Well, Gabra Zackman also says Yuh-LAY-na, not YEH-le-na like Maria says in the interviews I've seen/heard. Maybe she was directed that way? To be honest the first one is a bit of a mess audibly, she doesn't have the voices down yet. I liked the Magic and Fire audiobooks far better.
I'd love to hear an Aussie reading it! ^_^
