"I thought you loved me," Lanie whispered to Matt, ready to cry.
"You told me you did, over and over again!"

"I-I-" Matt stuttered, "It's not what you think!"

"Then, what is it?" She asked sadly. "What happened?"

"Your friend...really, I thought we'd last forever, bu-but...it's no use. I've fallen for her now--Goodbye," he stormed out of her house

she stared at the hard, cold ground,"is there something wrong with me?! every guy i went out with ditched me for another girl!! i give up!! its tooo hard!"

((sounds like that small story segment i wrote, hehe, funny))
Lindsey called Lanie, "He's all mine now and nothing u do can take him away from me! well, its natural that boys fall for me," she sighed

Lanie held the receiver, growing angry.

Lindsey smirked,"who said i was evr going to give him to her. having him was my intention all along,"

Lanie walked down the sidewalk strewn with red and brown leaves, ignoring the cold air that stung her nose. She wanted to cry. She wanted nothing more that the moment. But she had used all her tears.

without the tears, u could still here her sobbing

the strange boy felt the girl's pain. she's so sad, the boy thought

"whoa, r u ok?" he asked as he caught her
"oh-um y-yeah, sorry. just a little woozy,"

"r u ok? do u need something to drink?" he asked or a shoulder to cry on he thought to himself

"Lanie, look, im really grateful for u helping me, but i can take care of myself," she said, i dont wanna get mixed up with this boy, he might be like evry other guy i dated who just ditched e for another girl!

Lanie laughed softly,"ur a very forceful person, y'know" she looked at his crossed legs, that's the first guy i saw who crossed their legs! she thought to herself

in fact, this is the first guy who I know that would even stop to catch me. This is one 'first' guy

"I doubt that," Ethan said, raising one eyebrow ((I wish I could do that!))
"Really?" Lanie looked at Ethan, "Most people would agree with me."
"Well, I'm different from most people." There was a brief pause.

"Well," Ethan paused, "wait a minute! You didn't tell me anything." He looked at Lanie expectantly.

Ethan waited patiently. He had learned over the years that people will speak when they're ready. Not before.

Ethan cleared his throat and shifted positions.
"I am, like we said before, different," he began. 'I can't believe I'm telling her this,' he thought to himself before continuing, "I feel other's pain. If you can believe that. I felt your sorrow and I stopped. I turned to look at you and saw you fall. That's how I was able to catch you."

"and the worse thing is," she paused and took a deep breath,"that last guy that broke up with me...made me pregnant," she covered her eyes and bit her lip
