Christopher -- As you read in my intro, I'm a non-academic with lots of time in study of origins and migration theories, etc. I'm also a fiction novelist. While I wouldn't be so crass as to fill up these folders with "buy my book spam" I'd like to recommend two of my books to members who have time for pleasure reading. They both involve issues that members would hopefully find interesting and thought-provoking. How would you recommend I do this, or should I not make these recommendations?
double header on many PBS stations this weekend - "Decoding Neanderthals" and "Caveman Cold Case" - see http://johnhawks.net/weblog/reviews/t...the second show looks at Neanderthals in northern Spain - right around where I situated my Neanderthal story in my 1999 novel, The Silk Code - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0091W43JW - which, coincidentally, also has the word "code" ...
Cool. I have Silk Code and its on the list. Looking forward to reading it since I was just in Northern Spain in caves where some of the oldest cave art has been found. It's possible that some of the artwork was created by Neanderthals (new finding). Congrats!

Personally, I think it will be interesting to highlight and discuss some of the current debate that that exists within the scientific community associated with some of these concepts and ideas.
