Claire (addlibrarian) The First Escape is book 1 in the DoppleGanger Chronicles for kids and it was FANTASTIC! G.P. Taylor calls them illustranovellas. They're a combination of graphic novel and text.

I've also discovered Netgalley and am reading a lot of galleys right now so more to come soon!

Claire (addlibrarian) My favorite book so far this year is The 13th Tribe by Robert Liparulo. It's about 40 Israelites condemned to walk the earth as immortals in punishment for worshipping the Golden Calf.
