MAJOR MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!

Okay, so, who LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED this eccentric, HILARIOUS ("…that cow [Rita Skeeter]…oh, sorry Professor Dumbledore." "I have gone temporarily deaf, Harry, and did not hear a word you said." "Er…okay…" and, in another scene, "Continue to destroy my possessions, Harry, I have too many of them."), kind, wise, and just plain AWESOME headmaster? Best character EVER???????????? (Totally!) Incredibly sad when he died? Cried for hours until you had red eyes, puffy cheeks, and the hiccups when he died? This is all what I thought of him (and what happened to me when he died), but I want to hear what you think!

Essence Caprano *NERDS TO THE RESCUE!* I cried for hours and hours when I found out he died. I was still in my sophmore year when I finsihed the sixth book, so I was really goofy back then, and not to mention a tad bit emotional. When my friend and I finished the book and realized Dumbledore was dead as in D-E-A-D, we started bawling out loud, literally. It was so humiliating, but we couldn't help it. We had loved Dumbledore, the cool, wise, zen master headmaster. Back then I used to dream that he was my headmaster instead of my mean old crab principle Mrs. Gimble and I used to wish that I were at Hogwarts instead of my crummy old normal highschool. Poo! :(

LOL! I kept on thinking he'd somehow (maybe with the Resurrection Stone) come back to life, but he didn't. :( Oh, I was reading this book, Smiles To Go by Jerry Spinelli one time a after a test, and I started crying a little bit. I WANTED to, though--I had read it before and it had me BAWLING (I cried so much, in fact, my mom thought I was sick because I looked awful). It was an experiment; I wanted to see if I would cry during school.

Essence Caprano *NERDS TO THE RESCUE!* Oh wow! I never thought in a million years I would cry in school, especially school! I'm not the type of person to cry, especially not in public. I guess it was that Dumbledore grieving moment :)

I know, right? I'm totally crazy!!

Books. Make. Me. CRY. So hard!!! Such as:

Anne of Green Gables
Bridge to Terebithia
Harry Potter series
Where the Red Fern Grows
Marley and Me
Smiles to Go [this, surprisingly, made me cry hardest of all!]

Oh, and A Walk To Remember.

message 7: by Essence (new)

Essence Caprano *NERDS TO THE RESCUE!* All of those made me shed a tear as well. I also have to add "My Sister's Keeper" to that list :) Oh and when I saw Titanic for the first time, I cried, correction, I sobbed ;)

Mmm, one got divorced with one of my grandmas, and both remarried.

message 26: by Uditi (new)

Uditi "Continue to destroy my possessions, Harry, I have too many of them." was one of the best and worst moments in the books. I love how he's being really calm about it because he can understand Harry's anger but worst because Dumbledore in that book sort of disappointed me because he wasn't there for Harry when he was really confused about all this stuff going on around him about the Ministry and Voldemort back and everything and Harry is still loyal to Dumbledore all the way through anyways.

message 27: by Uditi (new)

Uditi But I still completely agree. BEST HEADMASTER EVER!!!!

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

Awesomeness!!!! It's just GORGEOUS. :)
If you'd like to know what my name means, first know I'm a Mormon. (If anyone here is Mormon, you guys'll understand what I say next--and/or it will be a little bit awkward.) We have a few books in addition to the Bible that are sort of like the Bible. One is the Book of Mormon. There's a woman in there named Sariah, hence my name. :)
