Donovan was the best! Its a shame what happened tho....

But inspite of what happened, he kept Alex alive... multipul times...

oh yeah, he was undergoing the transformation to becoming a blacksuit wasn't he? darn... well maybe it was better that he died.

But i have confidence that he would be able to remember himself with Alex's and Zee's help....

Also true. He was a pretty strong-willed person, had Alex and Zee been there with him, he probably would have remembered his name and pulled through.

But then again when Alex and Zee tried to take to him, Donovan called the weezers over.... they would have had to keep him quiet and take him to a quiet area....

If only they had duck tape, they they could have taped his mouth shut, taken him to somewhere quiet to talk sense into him. But he might have been a bit too far gone. Do you remember if they said if his eyes were silver yet? Because that's one of the most major signs they're too far gone. If his eyes weren't silver then thy might have been able to bring sense to him. If not then it would be no use trying to save his lost soul..

The first thing they change is the eyes. Alex had silver eyes but managed to hold on quite alright. It was when they started stuffing them with muscle they started to lose it. They liked feeling the power it gave them...

Oh yeah that's right. So I don't think Donovan was stuffed with quite enough muscle when they saw him because even though he pushed against Alex, he was still suffocated by the pillow. So if they had a quiet area they might have been able to save him

I hope so, but they were already out of time by the time they found Donovan. They were almost caught. They would have needed a lot of time to get him out of the infimary, to find a way to keep him from struggeling and carry him to a safe spot without getting caught :/

Even if they had had more time and tried to get him to a safe spot without getting caught by then it would have been too late and it would be too risky. They had escaped from the solitary and were already being looked for, taking Donovan would just be wayy to risky. What they did was for the best, but I wish it hadn't happened...

Ya, same. No matter what we think of, how we word things, it wouldnt change the fact that he was probley or would soon be too far gone...

My favorite character is Donovan because he always sticks his head out for Zee and Alex. He bacsically kept them alive by helping them out, even though this was dangerouse in Furncace. An example is when there was a lockdown because they were letting out the dogs run wild in the prison, and Alex didn't make it back to his cell. Alex was on the verge of death and Donovan risked his own life and ran out and saved Alex in the nick of time and they both made a safetly back. Also when Alex was nearly beaten to death by the new bully in jail, Gary and then Donovan got him to stop by telling Gary of their escape plan. He risked his own life for Alex so this is why he's my favorite, he's a hero with no fear. It's a trategy in what happenes to him in the end of the book :(.

Ashley! xD This name alone made me like him (even tough I didn't like what happened to him...).
But aside from him I really liked Donovan too~ (I think nearly everyone faves him x3)

My favorite character is Alex because he is the leader type and also because he underwent a transformation to become a blacksuit (spoiler)

My favorite character is Donovan because he seems to be the chillest character. Once Alex came into the prison, he was paired up with Donovan in a cell. Donovan some what comforted Alex and told him what to do in the prison so that Alex wouldn't get in to any trouble with the other prisoners. Donovan seems to be the coolest character in the book.

My favorite character is Donovan. Donovan acts like an older brother to Alex. He tries to keep Alex safe by warning him of the different things that he has to do in order to not get killed. I remember one particular event in the story, in which Donovan told Alex to act as if he were asleep and to not get up when the wheezers were let loose. Donovan could've chose not to tell Alex this and Alex would've been taken and killed (or turned into a blacksuit). But Donovan helped him out, he explained to Alex why it was so important for him to act like he was sleeping when the wheezers were let loose to mark the cells with the red 'x'.

My favorite character is Alex. He was the one who stood up to defend his friends when he was the new one to Furnace. He went through a lot of trouble and was the main one that gave us a lot of action. The story was based on his first person so we felt what he felt so he became my favorite character. He was brave! He had to go through a lot so he deserves to be the best character.

My favorite character has to be Donovan . He was like the leader an supported Alex and was always there for him. He was like a brother figure. He protects him from many things such as the wheezers. He could have not warned Alex about them am saved himself instead but he chose to help which makes my judgement for him grow more towards my favorite character. He also was the funniest and most relaxed character of all and once he was taken and turned into a blacksuit I was devastated.
