The toughest part of learning how to write a novel is knowing where to start and how to keep on going to the end. In this thread we will discuss about the novel writing process.

Guys! please help me out..i need a cover picture for my book angel bound..the one i'm using now is of cat and Bones..i want something original..please tell me if anyone has a suitable pic...
I'll try to find one during my free, which is next. Anything specific you want?
I recommend using Wattpad to all writers, mainly because you can put your work under copyright and get a wide berth of comments from multiple readers who also write their own stuff.

oh,thanks :) i was thinking a boy and a girl hugging loosely,kinda like the pic on the cover i've used now,it's just i want the guy to look strong and the girl petite..if the girl could have wings it would be better..but i won't push my luck :P

i actually have a wattpad account..but i don't know how to use it..like i don't know how to add a cover or add chapters..

Oh, I can help with that part. I'm currently on Wattpad right now.
It's pretty good actually but i was thinking of not using real photos..pictures would be better..i would love to use the one i have now but that would be copying!

Okay, so, you can find an artist through Deviant Art to draw you a cover. Try that.Which iPod do you have?

Okay, then. Go to the Upload button.
You should see your works below and if you look to the far right of the screen, there'll be a list of options. Click on any of those to get to what you want.
actually i haven't uploaded anything yet..i tried before but i couldn't..so i'm basically at a new story page..
So, what you wanna do then is fill everything out with the story you're uploading.
In the blank *title of your story or chapter* do i put the name of my novel or chapter? do you have to upload different chapters together or one by one? sorry lol..too many questions..
Put the title of your novel. You can change it afterwards.
so now i just copy paste all of it from word?

Books can be found on practically every subject and genre, but what really sells?especially in YA books?
It is a common belief that erotica sells more than other books. While this may be true to an extent it is not completely the truth.There are people who but books for something more that steamy sex scenes.Vampire Academy,Soul Screamer,Hunger Games and Twilight where not erotic in any way and yet became best sellers.Readers these days are more choosy when reading books.
Some things we youngsters look for in a book
Good plot: A good plot is what makes us read a book with interest.No one reads books just for the sake of reading and a good plot without loose ends is always a plus point.Though vampires produce a sense of thrill,writers should sometimes learn to look past them.There are various other paranormal creatures to work with
Characters: Too perfect characters can tend to be bore.Readers fail to relate to them and hence the story seems to drag.Everyone needs weaknesses and so do characters.
Believable: The stories and situations must be a little believable. Instead of always going for love at first sight,why not make it more believable because love hardly happens at first sight.What happens is attraction and lust. :P
