(Her bedroom)


(Guest room)


Two bedroom, two bath near the top level of the building. Balcony leading off from the living room. Has a kitchen but she rarely ever uses it. The second bedroom is reserved for friends/family that like to stay over/visit.

Climbing out of the car, Shane stretched as if the ride had been far longer than it really was. She bent down to look through the still opened door, smirking slightly at Camryn. “You can come on up. I don’t bite, I promise. Well…not too hard anyways.” She said teasingly, wondering just how Camryn would react to that. Shane often said things just to get a reaction out of a person, even without knowing it sometimes. “Also, I was thinking of taking a shower and it would be rude to make you wait out here until I was done.” Turning and closing the car door behind her, she made her way up the steps to her building’s door without looking to see if Camryn was following behind.

Shane gave a sigh of relief as she pushed open the doors of the building, heading right to the one of the elevators and hitting the up button. As much as she loved going around the city, she always felt a sense of relief whenever she would return home; even if she had only been out a few minutes. Bouncing on the balls of her feet as they waited for the elevator, she looked over at Camryn. “I live here on my own. Been about a year and a half now. My family moved to France when I just turned 16.” Though she missed her family, she never felt sad or lonely when she told others she lived on her own. She knew her family was happy where they were, and she was happy where she was. That was all that mattered. As the elevator doors opened, she took Camryn’s hand and pulled her in with her as she hit the button for the 16th floor. “Up up we go to my own little slice of Wonderland.”

Shane looked down, laughing nervously as the elevator doors closed. “Yeah, my parents help me out. We made a deal that if I go through all my plans that I have for school and don’t quit, they’ll take care of everything. I mean, I skipped two grades when I was in high school. They weren’t going to leave their 16 year old daughter alone to go to college without having assurance.” She felt a bit like a kid as she said that, having to let her parents take care of her. She watched the numbers light up as the elevator went higher, not able to look at Camryn just yet.

Shane let out a soft sigh of relief as Camryn changed the subject, bouncing slightly as the elevator grew closer to her floor. “I try to go every weekend but sometimes my schedule’s too full. What about you?” Just then the elevator came to a halt, resting a second before the doors opened up to an expensively decorated hallway. As she stepped out into the hall, she turned to hold out a hand towards Camryn. “Just down at the end of this hall. I promise I won’t take too long.”

Leading Camryn down the hall to her apartment, Shane reached into her pocket with her free hand to pull out her key. As they reached the end of the hall, she turned towards the door on the right. There were only four apartments on this floor to give the renters more privacy. Letting go of Camryn’s hand, she unlocked the door and turned the knob. “Welcome to my little haven,” she said as she pushed open the door to reveal a very spacious living room. Walking into the apartment, Shane kicked off her running shoes and tossed her keys onto a little nook coming off from the rather large kitchen. “Come in and make yourself at home.”

Shane walked over to the end of the couch, picking remote with buttons on both sides. Flipping it in the air once and catching it in her hand, she aimed the remote towards the TV turning it on. Turning to face Camryn, she began pointing around the apartment. “Alright, so you have the TV if you want to watch anything. The kitchen’s over there if you want anything to eat or drink. I have to warn you now, it’s mainly filled with junk that’s totally bad for me but taste’s soooo good I have to eat it. But I think there are grapes or something in the freezer.” She padded across the hard wood floor towards her room. “I shouldn’t take too long. And if you get super bored there’s a PS2, PS3, and Wii over there. I never use them so…have at ‘em,” she called over her shoulder as she disappeared into a doorway that led to her bedroom.

After grabbing a towel and undressing, Shane climbed into the already steaming shower. As soon as she climbed in, she began singing like she usually did. She was loud enough that Camryn would most likely be able to hear her in the living room, but she didn’t really care. She was singing perfectly in Japanese; one of her favorite songs from one of her favorite Japanese bands. When she climbed out of the shower, she was on the last verse and she belted it out on perfect pitch. After blowing her hair dry, she walked back into her room to change. “Almost done!” She called out to Camryn, rushing to get dressed.

After rifling through her closet and drawers for several minutes, Shane had finally decided on an outfit and began dressing. Her outfit consisted of a long sleeve tee, sleeves ending half way down her hands, striped black and pink with a Japanese band logo on the front. Paired with the top she wore a black plaid pleated mini, black and pink striped knee high socks and black Doc Martens with hot pink and silver shoelaces. Walking over to her dresser, she squirt a bit of mousse into the palm of her hand and rubbed it between her palms before moving her hands through her curling hair. After another few minutes of applying black eyeliner, pink glittery mascara, shimmery pink eye shadow, and lip gloss she finally left the room. “Geez, I’m so sorry about that,” she said genuinely apologetic as she made her way to the couch, dropping down next to Camry in a slouch with a sigh of relief. “I get kind of picky with my clothes sometimes so it took way longer than I had planned it to. Hope you weren’t too bored.” She looked over at Camryn with a small smirk before turning towards the TV, nose scrunching slightly at the reality show that was on.

Shane chuckled, looking back at Camryn with a slight smirk. “You’re doing that cute rambling thing again. And no worries, nothing good’s ever really on at this time. Oh and thanks. I haven’t worn this shirt in ages.” With a soft groan, she sat up and leaned over Camryn for the remote. She paid little notice when her elbow grazed Camryn’s stomach, leaning back against the couch. As she aimed the remote towards the TV, she brought up the on demand menu. She scrunched her nose again as she scrolled through, and turned the TV off all together. Tossing the remote to the side, she clapper her hands together and smiled at Camryn. “Well, since nothing good is on at all how about we head out?”

Shane stood from the couch, stretching her arms over her head and groaning softly as she did. Walking over to the counter to get her keys, her boots thumping softly against the floor, she looked back over her shoulder with a lazy smile. “It’s not too far in after you pass through the entrance for Japan town. You go a little ways and it’s on the right hand side.” Tossing her keys in the air and catching them, she pushed open the door and stepped out into the hall. “Come on slow poke, the store’s not gonna be open all day,” she said teasingly, her lips twitching up into her trade mark smirk.

As the elevator reached the ground floor, Shane strolled out towards the entrance to the building. She turned, waiting for Camryn to catch up. “Hmmm…since it’s getting later maybe we should eat after we hit the manga store,” she said as she opened the door, gesturing for Camryn to go through first. “If you don’t have other plans that is.”

Shane smiled brightly, practically bouncing on the balls of her feet as she made her way to Camryn’s car. But half way to the car, Shane stopped and swore under her breath. “Can you hang on one more second? I forgot to grab my bag. I’ll just run back up and get it. Won’t take too long.” She raced back into her building, right for the elevator just as it was opening up in the lobby. After giving a small wave to the woman that left the elevator, she got in and quickly got in and hit the button for her floor. She was anxious as it slowly made its way to her floor, practically shooting out as soon as the doors opened. Once she reached her apartment, she immediately ran to her room and scooped up her Toki Doki messenger bag before racing back out. She almost forgot to lock her door, running back to do so before finally making it back to the elevator. By the time she had reached the car yet again, Shane was panting slightly from having rushed. “Ok, sorry about that. I’m all set.”

Gulping down a big breath, Shane made her away around to the passenger’s side of the car. Climbing into the seat, she tossed her bag onto the back seat and promptly put on her seat belt. “See, told you it wouldn’t be long. My bag was by my bedroom door,” she said as she leaned her head back against the head rest. “Anyways! On to Japan town we go!” She said with an almost childlike smile on her face, pointing forward out the windshield.
