It's so wonderful, isn't it?! I loved the movie and the book - both are timeless classics and a joy to read/watch. Inigo is one of my favourites as is Vizzini and Miracle Max and his wife!!:D

ohmygosh, when Buttercup asks him for the jug thing and all you see is him and how he looks at her and then him whispering, "As you wish".....I melt just thinking of it! I really really really hope that one day someone will look at me like how Westley looked at Buttercup and that he too will say 'As you wish' to me everday...

Now tell me you don't love it!"
Booknut! You're always teasing and tantalising us! And yes, it's BRILLIANT! Absolutely and wonderfully funny and beautiful. I could quote it all day! LIke now :)
Inigo Montoya: Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
Inigo Montoya: That Vizzini, he can *fuss*.
Fezzik: Fuss, fuss... I think he like to scream at *us*.
Inigo Montoya: Probably he means no *harm*.
Fezzik: He's really very short on *charm*.
Inigo Montoya: You have a great gift for rhyme.
Fezzik: Yes, yes, some of the time.
Vizzini: Enough of that.
Inigo Montoya: Fezzik, are there rocks ahead?
Fezzik: If there are, we all be dead.
Vizzini: No more rhymes now, I mean it.
Fezzik: Anybody want a peanut?
Vizzini: DYEEAAHHHHHH.
Vizzini: HE DIDN'T FALL? INCONCEIVABLE!
Inigo Montoya: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Buttercup: We'll never survive.
Westley: Nonsense. You're only saying that because no one ever has.
Buttercup: You can't hurt me. Westley and I are joined by the bonds of love. And you cannot track that, not with a thousand bloodhounds, and you cannot break it, not with a thousand swords.
Inigo Montoya: Are you the Miracle Max who worked for the king all those years?
Miracle Max: The King's stinking son fired me, and thank you so much for bringing up such a painful subject. While you're at it, why don't you give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice on it? We're closed.
The Impressive Clergyman: Mawage. Mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooday. Mawage, that bwessed awangment, that dweam wifin a dweam...
[cut to Westley, Inigo, and Fezzik]
The Impressive Clergyman: And wuv, tru wuv, will fowow you foweva...
[cut to the trio again]
The Impressive Clergyman: So tweasure your wuv.
Prince Humperdinck: Skip to the end.
The Impressive Clergyman: Have you the wing?
[cut to the trio once more]
The Impressive Clergyman: ...and do you,Pwincess Buwwercup...
Prince Humperdinck: Man and wife. Say man and wife.
The Impressive Clergyman: Man an' wife.
Miracle Max: He probably owes you money huh? I'll ask him.
Inigo Montoya: He's dead. He can't talk.
Miracle Max: Whoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that your friend here is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.
Inigo Montoya: What's that?
Miracle Max: Go through his clothes and look for loose change.
I love the Princess Bride :D

SO perfect!!
this is one of those rare instances where i actually liked the movie better than the book. the book was good, and beautifully written, but it lacked the magic and vibrancy of the movie in my opinion.
The movie is absolutely flawless. Everything about it. And it also goes down in history as the most quotable film to ever exist, excepting only perhaps the recent Avengers movie. The book was good but could never compare to the movie (a rarity).
I grew up watching this movie, and the book is a recent addition to my Keepers Shelf. I loved learning about Inigo's background!
