I LOVE THAT QUOTE!
"And what excellent boiled potatoes. It's been many years since I had such an exemplary vegetable. To which of my fair cousins should I compliment the cooking?"
Mrs. Bennet: "We are perfectly able to keep a cook."
In the Keira Knightley version, I love that scene where Bingley (he's so cute!) is practicing his proposal and he bows to Darcy and Darcy pretends to be a Bennet (by the lake on the Bennet's property). Do you remember it?!

Elizabeth Bennet: Did I just agree to dance with Mr. Darcy?
Charlotte Lucas: I daresay you will find him to be very amiable.
Elizabeth Bennet: That would be most inconvenient since I have sworn to loathe him for all eternity.
(My other fave quote!)

OMG! But they did!!
You have to go to (I have the DVD!) the extras/special features and there is something called the UK ending!! Look it up - it's Lizzie and Darcy outside his home and he calls her Mrs Darcy and they kiss!! WATCH IT!! It's amazing!!:D

Same - I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" and then one of my friends told me about the alternate ending and I said "Why is it alternate?! It should be the ACTUAL ending!!!"

Oh I love the Keira Knightly version, the music...;) is beautiful !! But the BBC version with Alison Steadman, she is the best Mrs Bennet!! I Love her is this role.
Booknut wrote: "Here's the link to the alternate ending!!!:Dhttp://www.fanpop.com/spots/pride-and...
Enjoy!:D"
And this is the ending it just automatically has on my dvd. That is the ending haha
As it turns out, I can't wait it for copy-right reasons or something, but I have the DVD so I will have a look on there :)
Ah, Darcy +.+Matthew MacFadyen is an excellent Mr Darcy...He has that profound, unique voice...
Ah, the chills that run down my spine when he says:
**You must know... surely, you must know it was all for you. You are too generous to trifle with me. I believe you spoke with my aunt last night, and it has taught me to hope as I'd scarcely allowed myself before. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.**

Same here *sigh*
I'm in love:) Every time I watch it I just sit there with my face up close to the screen, while saying the lines at the exact same time! Haha I do that for practically the whole movie! But when it's a scene with Mr. Darcy I'm 20 times worse!

You are not the only one! I actually did the exact same thing! Haha I love making connections like that! All my friends think I'm wierd... I guess they have a point:) And as for Mr. Bennet, he is one of my favorite characters of all time! He always makes me laugh! Donald Sutherland (Mr. Bennet) is also President Snow in the Hunger Games movie! I saw that and nearly flipped out! The two characters are so different and he does such an amazing job at both!

Donald Sutherland is brilliant!

I love it too! I think it's one of the cutest pics from it.

I agree:)
No! I'll have to look them up.
My favorite love story/regency era book of all time. I'm constantly torn between wanting Darcy for myself and loving him with Elizabeth. Fangirl problems :(
Love this story. :) One I plan to reread soon!

To Austen: Thank you for Darcy. He is everything any fangirl could ever ask for.
Yours sincerely,
Your crazed fan,
Booknut
