I had a hard time getting started with this book. I ended up reading it as though it were a Tim Burton semi-animated film and it really helped the beauty of it shine through for me. Once she got out of the asylum, it picked up quite a bit and not only became easier to read, but a truly amazing story. I LOVE this book and can't wait for the next one!! :)
Yeah, the book did seem much better when she got out. Before then she sounded really crazy and it got annoying after a while. I can't wait for the next one either, I think it's ages untill it comes out though.
I thought she was a little crazy in the beginning but it really picked up for me after she got out. I love the book but I'm not that excited for the next one, I thought it should have been a stand alone.

I just read Shatter Me. For me it was hard to get through this book because of the excessive use of metaphors. I don't think I will be continuing the series unless y'all say it is worth it.
I really liked Unravel Me but if you didn't like Shatter Me I doubt you'll enjoy the sequel either. In many ways they're quite similar.

What I didn't like was the superhero/xmen stuff at the end. I'm still debating whether to continue.
That's exaclty how I felt David. I enjoyed the book in it's entirety, metaphors, going crazy at the beginning and all. But, unless it's a superhero comic or a supernatural being, i don't want to see any superpowers!
Yes yes yes!! Exactly my thoughts! I was obsessed with the first 50% and then I just got angry at the direction the story went in. I was hoping more for a classic dystopian with the uniqueness of the MCs voice...
