Julie (gpangel) I ran acrossThe Moonlit Doorat a local PB swap store. ( This shop is the only place I know of that actually has a rack just for these novels. Regretfully, though many are about to fall apart, so not collectable. Possibly readable though.) This would probably be placed in the romantic suspense genre in the present day. But, if you happen to find any of Anne Maybury's books I HIGHLY recommend them. I could not put this one down!

Cool! I need to pick some of hers up or borrow them. I used to live near a store like that that had shelves of Gothics. I bought a bunch then but don't live there anymore and miss it. :(

I know. Finding these are like finding a needle in a haystack sometimes. When you find them, they are over priced. Garage sales and small town used bookstores are a good place to look.

Marilyn | 79 comments Well I would definitely like her then! :-D Actually, I think I first saw her name in the back of one of my Virginia Coffman books! There was a page with a list of some of her novels. :-)

Marilyn | 79 comments Just received this book in the mail. It will be my first book to read by Anne Maybury! I don't know if it is good or not, but just the cover art alone made it worth the purchase price! :-D The House of Fand by Anne Maybury

Bobbie | 32 comments I recently read The Minerva Stone by Maybury and I was rather disappointed. Has anyone else read it and what did you think? I will give her another chance if I run into another one by her.

For those inclined to digitized books there are an abundance of hers on Archivedotorg here.

I haven't read The Minerva Stone but I have read about five or six of her books. Some of them I enjoyed, some were just OK to me. I thought she wrote well, but sometimes the story seemed flat at the end. Not all seemed Gothics either, some were suspense/thrillers. I do remember enjoying The Pavilion at Monkshood and Falcon's Shadow. I think I've still got a few by her in my TBR pile. Let's hope they are good!
