I can't precisely tell you of what makes a good horror story, but I can recommend a brilliant one: Be Buried in the Rain, but Barbara Michaels.

It's amazing, I'm telling you. Not scary in the strict sense of the word, but very spooky all the same.

I like books with action and adventure. I cant exaxtly tell u how to do it though... sry

A believable plot.

With horror detail, continuity, and pacing are the most important. I guess you can say that those are important for most writing.
