This is a field where every herb grows

Featherstep padded into the Clover Field. She saw Iceclaw in the field and decided to go talk to her. "Hey Iceclaw!" She greeted her.

"How's it going?" She asked Iceclaw, watching Snowkit racing playfully through the clover.

"I know," Featherstep meowed, her voice full with sympathy, "we all miss the cats we left behind."

Featherstep walked up next to her and whispered, "But you have Snowkit."

Featherstep smiled and meowed, "It sure is beautiful little one."

"Snowkit, if you would have lived longer, would you have wanted to be a medicine cat or a warrior?", Featherstep asked the little kit.

Featherstep purred and said "Since I was a medicine cat I could teach you a bit about herbs."

(Me too!)

"Okay, come with me." Featherstep gestured Snowkit to follow her. Featherstep walked over to the end of the Clover field and pointed at small and black berries. "These are poppy seeds. They soothe shock, pain and distress. They can put cats to sleep too."

"What do you mean?" Feathersteo asked Snowkit.

Featherstep shook her head. "No, sadly we can't. But we do see where the herbs are but we can send messages to the cats in the Clans. And now come with me." Featherstep motioned Snowkit to follow her. Featherstep walked over to a patch of yellow flowers that were next to a little stream. "This is marigold. It grows next to water as you see here." she pointed at the stream. "It stops infection, bleeding and is good for aching joints. You chew the leaves or the petals and rub them on the aching joints or the wound."

"So, tell me, what do you use to soothe shock and pain?" Featherstep challenged Snowkit.

Featherstep shook her head and gently corrected Snowkit, "No, to soothe shock and pain you use poppy seeds."

(What's wrong? Poppy seeds are to soothe shock and pain, not marigold.)

(And my cat already explained what soothes shock and pain)
