That part of the book actually kind of annoyed me anyway. They kept saying that the prison was the toughest/nastiest one they had but 3 teengers managed to get in, break out a prisoner and then get out?

Hardly what you'd call Alcatraz.

Rose is the type of heroine that would do absolutely anything to save the people she loves. She honestly believed that by helping Viktor escape, she could get the help she needed to save Dimitri. I guess you could argue that it was selfish, knowing that if she could save her true love it would ultimately make her happy as well, especially putting her needs above Lissa's, which ultimately breaches the guardian's code. But if she hadn't released Viktor I guess there would have been no story would there?

No, it didn't. Vickor and Robert escaped and kidnapped Jill.

I think that it was kind of good. because then who else would've have found Robert so that they can save Dimitri. He would've still been Strigoi if she hadn't. So all those ppl who say no, but still want her to be with Dimitri.You can't have it both ways.

I agree, there were some part in there where it seemed bad, but at the VERY end it worked out really well.

Rose is not an idiot. Nobody else knew where his half-brother was. Dimitri would still be be hunting them or be dead right now. And the drastic part was one of the awesome parts in the book.

It worked out well for everyone in the end, not just Rose, Dimitri, and Lissa. Sonya turned back to a Moroi, Mikhail Tanner got the love of his life back because of this. Jill was found because of Sonya and then became a princess. Its a chain reaction really. Almost everyone benefited because of this.

Except that Jill got murdered, Christian looses the woman he looked at like a mother, Adrian is left heartbroken, Eddie is in disgrace and Sydney is in the doghouse with the alchmists.

But otherwise, yeah, everything worked out fine.

i agree..if rose dint rescue robert n victor..dimtri would not be saved which means the story will end right dere..he's the lead..den..victor helped rose find out jill.n as to find out jill..dey needed sonya..robert saved sonya..robert n victor also kidnapped jill out of d house..if dey dint..it wud hv been impossible 4 rose to capture her..n finally jill took d throne.lissa became queen..wat else?..everythin worked out right!

later in bloodlines..adrian does find happiness..sydney was a minor..but dimitri,rose..lissa n all..widout dem d story's nt gonna work out..as 4 eddie.he is a minor too.

VICTOR died..
he was a criminal but he helped in ways..n rose killing him was realli horrible!.

Yea, rose was fool for releasing Victor and finding his brother robert but if wasn't for them two niether dimitri or sonya would still be a strigoi and they wouldn't been able to find lissa's half sibling and have lissa become queen.

No, he doesn't. He's falling for syd but they aren't together and I doubt they will be for at least a book or two (I haven't read TGL yet so I can't be sure).

Bottom line, Rose screwed over alot of people to get her happily ever after.

I feel really sad for Adrian cuz after she saved Dimitri. She left Adrian hanging there cuz he did seem to care a lot about her and like she got Dimitri back she take that into a count
