dee sucks Nuala's so badass.

I don't realy know. Dee was cool in Lament, but in Ballad she's kind of a meanie to James. And I LOVE James.
Nuala is really interesting and indeed badass...
So i guess it's gonna be Nuala after all

nuala! shes so badass and dee is a stupid whiner who leads James on and keeps him in the friendzone (never read lament btw). and nuala has great hair lol

I like Dee more personally. James and Dee are best friends and he has always loved her.

I love Nuala . She so cool and she doesnt moan . I like the fact that she can be over confident sometimes , and i think her and James suit so much . They wouldnt be a boring couple whereas i think Dee and James would .

I prefer Nuala simply because Nuala cares about him in the same way he cares about her. Dee shouldn't have to force herself to care about James, and James shouldn't have to wait for her to develop deeper feelings for him. It was a complicated situation between James and Dee, but it's for the best that they are both moving on. Dee was starting to destroy their friendship by trying to force reciprocal feelings for him. I can understand why she did what she did, but I don't think it was healthy. Nuala, despite her former fairy status, is healthier for James.

I love both of them, but I prefer Nuala with James. James can be a complete arsehole at times, and I think Nuala balances him out nicely. Dee is James best friend. She'll always love him, but she loves Luke more.

Honestly I would have liked it if Dee and James were together,but only if Dee actually loved James in THAT way.So James and Nuala are good together because they feel the same way for each other.

naula and james are very good together and naula loves him and james loves her but he also loves dee whos been his best friends for forever and she loves him as a friend but hes had all that time to tell her how he feels and never did until Luke came so its not all her falt she as amazing with luke but i think james is definetly best with nuala xx

Dee is awesome but in ballad she's just messed up. She's not good for James and should stick with Luke. Sadly Luke is now gone... She's just gonna have to find for a new guy coz she can't have James. James and nuala r perfect!!!

if u were asking em this question if Dee was still the same as before it would be a tie but since she's messed up I go for nuala

Long wait, I'm afraid. she's stated that she has a concept of a third book in mind ("Requiem") but hasn't found time to write it and sounded as if she didn't see the opportunity on the horizon

I think I liked both... for very different reasons!

I haven't read Requiem, but so far from what I have heard from people and how they describe Nuala, I like Dee better. Nuala, from what I have heard, sounds like a stuck up snob that is over confident and is a bitch and thinks she's better than everyone else. Dee, of course she is going to be "messed up", her love was taken away because he got his soul back. I'd be pretty depressed also. But, I can't judge anyone's opinion, because I've only read Lament and that wouldn't be fair. I won't read Requiem because of what I've heard about the characters, and besides, it doesn't have my love story i prefer (Luke and Dee) So i have to say I like Dee better, from what I know and have heard about this rather interesting second book of the series.
