... Katniss took Primrose's place at the reaping. Obviously, it's the biggest turning point because if it hadn't happened, the book wouldn't have lasted long, nor have been very interesting. :/

message 10: by Noelle (new)

Noelle Sage | 31 comments I believe that the best turning point in the story was when Peeta was called to the stage. This was because... At this point, everyone knew a love story had begun.

message 11: by Mason (new)

Mason Purdy | 14 comments Why would the career tributes only train for fighting not to find food?

Luke | 16 comments Justin wrote: "i think that the biggest turning point or biggest event was when katnise took rues place in the reaping"

i think that is too early in the story for it to be a turning point.

Matthew Weber (789matt2) | 31 comments Mason wrote: "Why would the career tributes only train for fighting not to find food?"

Until Katniss blew up the pyrimid of food and supplies the careers did not need food.

Mason Cothran | 14 comments Matthew wrote: "I have a question, does anyone know if thresh was rue's brother?"

No, Thresh wasn't Rue's brother... They were from the same district, but I seriously doubt that the people at the reaping would pull two people from the same family.

Same here. I knew what happened next, so I could take time to read the details instead of skipping to the action. It's almost too much of a page turner the first time!

Yes, that is why there is a series, not just a novel.

message 29: by Mason (new)

Mason Purdy | 14 comments Luke wrote: "i believe when katniss got the bow the story turned bigtime."

Yes that is the point where it is possible for katnise to win

message 30: by Mason (new)

Mason Cothran | 14 comments Another turning point was when Peeta said he loved Katniss. Katniss probably would've shot Peeta in the face the first chance she got, otherwise. The cave scene wouldn't have happened, and Katniss wouldn't have recieved so many gifts from her sponsors.

Mason Purdy | 14 comments Matthew wrote: "I have a question, does anyone know if thresh was rue's brother?"
