The novel is semi-autobiographical and is set in North Carolina. Four months before her wedding, Yvette Thurman places an ad to have an interracial fling with a white man. She never imagined she would discover she is actually a lesbian.
SBF Seeking takes the reader from a last night visit to an adult books store to get a single woman’s best friend in a box to coming out to family during an Easter dinner where too much pork wasn’t the only thing causing blood pressure to rise.
I am a former newspaper reporter who writes short stories and poems for fun but works for state government to pay the bills. I am a proud alumna of East Carolina University and my work has been published electronic and print format.
