Murder on a Ghost Ship question

After watching every episode of the "Ghost Whisperer" I'm convinced that some spirits are stuck on Earth until they accomplish an important task.

Some friends of mine lived in a "haunted" house and made friends with their ghost. She actually made their lives better, more interesting as they learned her story.

I'd love to hear other real stories you have.
