Basically if you use your magic and the council(the government for all things magic) thinks that you might expose magic to humans you get sent to hex hall which is like an academy for magical people.Eventually a group called lo chio de dio(or something like that) comes in and they want to destroy magical people, but I'm not really worried about that part yet.

Shoot!I forgot that all prodigium are bethrothed to another based on if their powers and personalites are compatible. I'm adding that to the character format. You dont have to choose yet, though.
