I received an inquire for any romance books that take place on a deserted island.

Well, the first one that came to mind - and I LOVED - is Seize the Fire by Laura Kinsale .

Next... The Price of Pleasure (Sutherland Brothers, #2) by Kresley Cole but I remember I liked the book more while they were on the island, before they went back to civilization.

I've heard The Trouble with Paradise by Jill Shalvis is good, but I haven't gotten to it yet... but love the author.

Someone tagged The Duke of Shadows by Meredith Duran as "shipwreck" - don't know if that is the setting or the feeling about the book. LOL! Does anyone know if it qualifies?

I can’t remember whether or not The Swiss Family Robinson by Johann David Wyss qualifies as a romance, but the movie sure looks like it does, if only for young adult. (I nominated it as a “Classics” read, but after the epic The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas , no body trusts me anymore. LOL!

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 1416 comments I used to love my Great Illustrated Classics copy of Swiss Family Robinson when I was a kid Swiss Family Robinson (Great Illustrated Classics) by Johann David Wyss . I know I've read a romance or two like this... but my memory is not cooperating. Calypso Magic (Magic Trilogy, #2) by Catherine Coulter maybe? But it's been years. I think they only stay deserted for a little while.

willaful I don't think Duke of Shadows qualifies, the shipwreck is backstory.

Beau Crusoe by Carla Kelly is awesome, though the heroine is not with the hero during the shipwreck. (It's backstory, but we get a lot of details about it.)

I can't remember if it's desert island, but The Wildest Shore by Lisa Cach is unusual and really good.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves does. And The Devil and the Deep by Amy Andrews is on his yacht and treasure hunting.
