Introduce yourself:)

Please tell us your favorite character, your name, your age and anything else that you feel a desperate need to share.
We're all Sherlock lovers here--don't be shy!

Yo! Starting off here, just so everyone can get to know the second Mod! lolz

My name is Vee and i'm currently 15 years old! My favourite character is Sherlock. **suprise, suprise** I only started watching the Sherlock TV series two weeks ago. My dad had watched them all when they aired on BBC One, and then he bought the dvd. Best purchase of the year! hehe!

Vee xD

The name's Libby, turning 14, and don't have a favorite character. Because I just can't segregate them like that:)
Otherwise; I love spiced chai tea, french vanilla iced coffee, 60's clothing, bows, skinny jeans and shoes.
I'm a blonde, but I like to think I'm pretty intelligent. :)I've written a novel, soon to be published, and am kind of obsessed w/ math.
Sherlock's just sort of the best show ever. Otherwise right now I'm in love Avatar: The Last Airbender (don't judge, we all have to nerd out at times) and Merlin.

Lis (lazyseagull) Hullo, everyone! Just found this group. As you can tell by the profile picture, I'm a huge fan of the BBC...and Sherlock!

M'names Lizzy, my age is irrelevant. I started watching BBC Sherlock when ASIP first came out!

I guess I'm fairly intelligent. For books, I'm a lover of Fantasy and Scifi, but I dabble in classics occasionally.

Great to meet all of ya.

(Other TV shows I like include Doctor Who, Merlin, Downton Abbey, Community, Torchwood, and misfits.)

Joanna (foxwrapped) | 11 comments Hello~

I am Joanna, I am 28 (OMGzoOLD), and my favorite character is Sherlock. I first got into Sherlock Holmes fandom with the 2009 movie and but then a few months later Benedict Cumberbatch kidnapped my brain with the BBC series. Oh, I also moderate one of the other sherlock groups here on goodreads. It's all good!

Libby, that's cool that you are going to have a novel published! What is it about? Even though I'm like, twice as old as you are your loves (chai tea, 60s clothing, skinny jeans) are basically mine. Am I creepy? OMG I feel creepy.

I don't really know what genre of novel I like. I have no idea. Gay? Is that a genre? And I'm a hardcore anglophile. I watch Adventure Time and Star Trek TOS, and listen to Cabin Pressure, the Knife and Crystal Castles. I've spent time in Due South and X-files fandoms.

I was sooo into the first season of Downton Abbey but I hated the second. :(

message 6: by Lis (new)

Lis (lazyseagull) /forgot to mention cabin pressure.

Welcome, Joanna! My life has been equally Cumberbatch'd. D:

(view spoiler)

Gay should be a genre. I'd be its number one fan.

Joanna (foxwrapped) | 11 comments Oh and Ha! I just found this:

" ...Eaton came up to him at the January 2012 Golden Globes ceremony with her new award for "Downton Abbey."
I just looked at it and went: 'Begone, woman. Bring it back when it says "Sherlock Holmes" or Steven Moffat or myself -- someone else who's more deserving than the second series of "Downton Abbey."'"

Cumberbatch told The Times, "I know too many people who are in it ... I thought the first series was good. That's what I’ll say."

and so sayeth the Cumberbatch.

message 8: by Lis (new)

Lis (lazyseagull) Haha, that's awesome! I've only watched series one so far, but I'm a bit apprehensive about series 2 now...

message 9: by Monica (new)

Monica Hello!

I probably should've done this earlier.

Hi, I'm Monica. I'm 15.
First got into Sherlock when it first aired (in NZ that is, which is a bit lot later than when it aired in the UK). After the first season I read the entire canon. Watched the second season online when it came out (it still hasn't aired here in New Zealand), and I've bought both DVDs.

Fav character = Johnlock (you can't have one without the other :P)

Also obsessed with Doctor Who (which was what got me into Sherlock (Yay for Moffat!! )), and enjoy Harry Potter, Star Wars, Torchwood, Back to the Future, Merlin, Primeval, BBC TV.......

And on another note, Benedict Cumberbatch should win Best Actor at the Bafta's and Andrew Scott should win Supporting Actor (since Martin Freeman won it last year (or was it the year before?)). Half disappointed, half angry Sherlock wasn't nominated for Best Drama D:

Hahahaha. Not creepy at all, don't you worry your pretty little mind. It's a bit hard to describe--it's a young adult novel involving alot of mythology, (but not PJO ripoff, lemme make that clear) and I can't really think of a description that does it justice/doesn't make it feel campy and stupid. Because it isn't. (It's not the best book in the world, not gonna lie, but I like to think that I would read it if I saw it on the shelves.)
Basicallyyyy...this is gonna sound super stupid, but bear w/ me, there are three girls, each with the power to make something from a picture come alive. One can make animals come to life, one can make plants, and the other elements.
Asdfkn fail description. Oh well. XD

Ooo. We people of the chai tea/skinny jeans/60s clothing are of a superior branch. *Virtual high five* lawl:)

Lis (lazyseagull) Oh, hullo, Monica! Gee, haven't seen you before... ;)

The most I've done for writing is NaNoWriMo and a few other contests here and there. I'm editor of my school's lit magazine, though, so of course I've submitted there. :P

message 12: by Carlee Jane (new)

Carlee Jane (chycebelle) Greetings, fellow Sherlockians! ^_^

You can call me Chycebelle. I'm a senior in high school (for a couple more weeks), then'll be off to college.

I became a Sherlockian when I read the original stories summer 2011 while recovering from a surgery - the stories made it a summer of great discovery! I'd seen the RDJ portrayal in theaters before, but after watching the movie the winter of 2011, I fell in love with how all the dots connected. Every nod and reference brought be bounding joy! So when the sequel came out, I saw it four times. The summer before that, however, the father of a boy I was on a date with suggested the BBC Sherlock. I looked it up, but didn't do much else. A matter of months ago, I queued it on Netflix. My life hasn't been the same since. I fangirled for the first time ever and the show is now a part of my daily life. I'm looking forward to discussing it :)

Otherwise, I keep myself involved in everything I love, from writing to choir to tutoring. I won't be on much because of that, but expect visits after May 31st. Hopefully this is the beginning of a beautiful group membership :3

message 13: by Dena (new)

Dena | 2 comments Hello everyone! I'm Dena and I'm 15 years old.

I started watching (fell in love with) Sherlock about two months ago when my dad made me watch it. My favorite characters are Sherlock, John, Molly, and Lestrade. Umm...I think it would be pretty fun if Johnlock turned canon.

Other fandoms I am into are: The Avengers, Doctor Who,Harry Potter, and I am currently watching Merlin.

My favorite genre is fantasy. And I try to write, but I'm not that good at it.

So, yeah, that's pretty much all I can think of right now.

message 14: by Juli (new)

Juli | 3 comments Hey y'all my name is Juli and I'm almost eighteen (less than a month!)

My friend Katie introduced me to Benedict Cumberbatch last week and then showed me the unaired Sherlock pilot that same day which got me hooked on the series. I watched all the episodes in five or so days. My parents think I'm insane and are mocking me for my still-raw Reichenbach feels.

Other things I'm obsessed with are reading and Marvel's Avengers. I am an extremely amature photographer.

My favorite genre probably would have to be realistic fiction or mystery/crime novels.

*peace*

This is a sentance telling you my name and age.

This is a detailed paragraph that tells you how much I like Sherlock and who my favorite character is.

This is me signing off.

XD Okay, that was fun. Anyway, I'm Leo, I'm 16 and my favorite character is... ANDERSON!!!! Hahahahha! Just Kidding! It's John... and Sherlock... and Molly... and Moriarty... and basically everyone except Anderson. (Insert adorable smiley face here)

message 16: by Jacquelyn (new)

Jacquelyn | 1 comments Um, hello...

My name is Jacquelyn and I have just recently entered to Sherlock fandom. I must say, I have been successfully "Sherlocked" :).
I'm a first-year college student and I don't really know what else to say... Perhaps list off some of the other fandoms I'm following, like I've seen others do in this thread?
I am a hardcore Marvel fan, known to have major 'fangasms' whenever Captain America is involved. Um, there is also Supernatural, Kuroshitsuji, and Hetalia, among others I have failed to mention (to put it simply, I'm an otaku). I've also dabbled somewhat in Doctor Who. Well, that's all I need to say in regards to 'me, me, me!'.
I hope to have many interesting conversations with you all... :9

P.S. I love food.
